At what point does Stevorino realize this festival is just not what it used to be? We didn't even shit on it when it was actually good. We bought tickets.

Seems pretty strange that people would come to a Bonnaroo board just to shit on the festival

Bonnaroo is a still a really good festival imo, but it falls short in comparison to past years.

Seems strange that people would start posting on a board just to whine about the people posting there.
Unpopular opinion, I think her music is really really great. I am surprised to see her booked though, she sabotaged any chance she had at taking her career to the next level.
Apparently, she’s really popular among gay people despite her being pretty homophobic.
Yeah, she used the f-slur really loosely there for a while, she got too comfortable lol.. That definitely is only the tip of her problematic iceberg, the stuff she said to Zayn was pretty gross and she supported Trump there for a while too. I genuinely think she may have some mental health issues to work through.
Her debut album is one of my favorite rap albums of all time though, it’s just so damn good.

I think it's fair of us to become critical of something we invested so much time, money, and effort into. Especially after they changed ownership and redirected the whole aim of the festival. I posted here long before I changed my opinion of this festival and I will continue to use it as an outlet for discussing music and festival culture.

No. The only reason anyone should be here is to shower Bonnaroo (the greatest and vibiest of all fests imo) with constant praise

All I can say is that I had just as much fun at Bonnaroo in 2017 as I did in 2014. I'm sure I'll retire from Bonnaroo one day, but I'm enjoying the run in the meantime.
As for those who come on here everyday to take a shit on Roo... I don't have an issue with it. I have sympathy for those individuals, as I assume they once loved Bonnaroo but don't know how to let go and move on. That may not be the case for everyone, but it's very obviously the case for many. I'll probably be the same way one day.

I guess you haven't noticed that this board isn't really about Bonnaroo anymore. A lot of us have been here a long time and made friends. We come here to talk about a lot of other things. Personally I think the name of the board should be changed. There's enough of us that have been here for many years that aren't even going to the festival anymore.

Isn't going to different festivals and not blindly buying Bonnaroo tickets a healthier sign of being able to let go than insisting that the Bonnaroo of today and the Bonnaroo of five years ago are equivalent?

it's funny you say that. i'm part of an fb group that used be called something like roo party bots and now it's just party bots because most of them don't go to roo anymore but we all still like live music!

I was joking. It's a sentiment my good pal Stevorino has expressed on numerous occasions

Yea, that was more aimed towards him. I didn't pay attention to who posted it.
Pigeons aren't shizty jam. I've seen enough jam bands to know the difference.
Watch their Psycho Killer cover and report back to me.
I was not lying, I was on the rail for that.
I really enjoyed that set, it was one of my fav of that weekend. That was not one my favorite moments.
Edited to note that despite me really loving that set, I would never really listen to PPPP on a daily basis, I just enjoy them in a festival setting early in the day to get the juices flowing.

Having CHIC makes me want Pharrell on the farm too. We could have some Get Lucky action, and with all of Pharrell/NERDs collabs, it could be an amazing set.
I'm going to keep pushing N.E.R.D. and Friends as a headliner until I will it into existence.
