I'm okay with this... I like all three, but none of them would've been 'must see acts' for me if they were on Roo's lineup.... last year them taking Radiohead and Frank was a gut punch.
FJM was solid in 2016 but nothing more, admittedly the afternoon Which slot didn't do him favors.
National would be have been great -> DM (my new dream #1 for Roo).

Time to cue the arguments that all these acts could board a plane and also play Roo.
Or is that just on Reddit?
Deerhunter is also a miss, IMO (Not headliner, but ya understand)
Deerhunter bums me out slightly more than those three
I'm always in the camp that it's POSSIBLE that they could come over, but (A) it'd have to be a massive act that was getting paid $$$$$$ to incur the costs and (B) it's such a low probability that you still go ahead and count them out
My top 10 probably looks something like this... I'm sure if others posted theirs I'd swap out some pretty fast
Arctic Monkeys Beck War on Drugs Grizzly Bear Grouplove Vulfpeck Manchester Orchestra Pixies (about time they get to the Farm) Paramore MMJ
I would hope none of these are top 10 yet. TWOD maybe just scraping in.
Pixies or Paramore would be possible. Also Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Oh, you meant top 10 on the lineup (that was my personal top 10)
Yeah, I think you nailed it in your post. I'm sure others will pop up in the next 5-6 months when new album plans come out. Truth be told, I have been struggling to find new, fun alt rock to listen to...
Alt J and Foster The People could both be up there too

How do we feel about Rolling Stones? With them rumored to headline a new festival in the UK, it seems like they could be a very possible follow-up to U2.
I think I'd rather have Fleetwood Mac or Roger Waters, but the Stones are up there on the bucket list.

Stones would obviously be a massive get for any US Festival but they don't do a lot for me. I would certainly still watch their set and whatnot but I would prefer Fleetwood Mac. I think any of those 3 would be good follow ups to U2 in terms of "holy crap Bonnaroo got (insert name here)!"

The Stones are the last of my major classic rock bucket list acts that I haven't seen yet, and Bonnaroo would obviously be a cooler experience than a typical arena show. I'd probably prefer Roger or Fleetwood Mac from a pure performance perspective, but I've seen both of them more than once

Sacred Hearts Club had its moments. It wasn't a great album by any means but "Static Space Lover" is one of my favorite songs of the year so far.
I also really liked their Lolla stream. Before that they'd be a negative on a lineup. Now I'm more open to seeing them again.
Making fun of Founders is one thing, but with all of these big names being tossed around/euro-confirmations, I genuinely feel bad for Bonnaroo at this point.

I'm neutral myself - haven't listened to them much beyond their first album (which I genuinely enjoyed), but I'm sure if they had a good slot it'd be better than Chainsmokers' headline set at Coachella
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

That's a pretty specific example, Stevorino.

Were you guys really expecting those bands in the first place? Anytime you start feeling optimistic I suggest looking at this year's lineup again.
I think each of those bands were perfectly reasonable to assume. All touring with relationships with livenation and bonnaroo and they're not off the wall left field bands either.

Absolutely - I would've had The XX, Glass Animals, and Future Islands all on that list this time last year. Cage was also there this year, though they don't do much for me these days.
Looks like a Coachella lineup - get that manu-pop trash out of here
1. I was trying to make the worst lineup possible 2. That looks nothing like a Coachella lineup
It's really easy to criticize something you don't know I suppose. Especially when you're so pro Roo. But anyone who tries to shit on Coachella should probably go there at least once. Because when you do it really brings up your standards
