Huge fan of the first two albums. Not sure what to think of this one yet. Mainly because of the awkward samples as well as how Oliver and Romy have changed their singing style.
Standout tracks thus far: Lips, Replica, I Dare You.

Their first album never stopped spinning for me, but Coexist was kind of "meh". Jamie xx's In Colour was absolute fire, though, and this album is right up there in the mix with the best. I honestly had my sights set kind of low based on Coexist, but I'm now super excited to see them on the Farm again!!
Only listened to a little. Didn't hate it but I just can't seem to love this band like I do Jamie's solo work. Not bad and I'm sure I'll enjoy their show but I'll mostly be watching it for Jamie
I found it boring. I wanna like them but their stuff doesnt connect with me.
Yeah I don't quite get the love affair with them, I don't think they're objectively bad or anything. I actually really enjoyed their debut but their newer stuff bores me as well.

I've only liked them very lightly before this album- I thought the first album was okay but I didn't like Coexist at all. Anyways, I'm really really loving this. My favorite tracks so far are Dangerous, Say Something Loving, Lips, & Replica. Particularly Say Something Loving though, that song is really connecting with me right now.

Easily my favorite song on the album. It's just so good.
The thing that works for the xx live show these days is what worked against them early on. When they first came out and they were playing early afternoon sets dressed like HS goth kids and whispering over sampled beats and simple chords in a deathly serious manner - it kind of made me cringe.
But the albums have gotten better and broader and more well produced. But the stage schtick is the same - yet it actually works because there is some gravitas to it at this point. This band somehow does a lot with very little and always fascinate me. It will be interesting to see what they do with some of the fest sets this year.
I saw them at Bonnaroo a few years ago and they were good. They put on a great light show that went perfect with their music. I think it was mainly a black/white theme back then.
I'm not usually someone who brags on the lights of a performance but it was great.
I like it. I like it a lot. But I definitely fell in love w In Colour upon first listen more so than this one. Looking forward to giving it some more listens soon though
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I have been listening to this album quite a bit and I'm fully in love with it. Test Me has emerged as another favorite of mine- that instrumental bit is so so gorgeous.

I think this album, and maybe The XX in general, is overrated on Inforoo. I'm looking forward to their set for a few awesome songs, but I'll take In Colour over any of their albums, and Loud Places is probably my most anticipated song from their new setlist.
Great Album: My Top 5- Lips, Replica, On Hold, Dangerous, I Dare You
Jamie's production is so crisp. It took a while for me to get into The XX but his beats are what eventually did it for me. Hopefully we get a surpise set from him one of the nights
