Definitely check out Ten Fè on Thursday, they are really good. Goldfish is cool too - they are more "EDM" but have lots of live instruments especially saxophone and will be a fun set
I honestly could see enough interesting on Sunday to consider a day pass. But this line-up still sucks.
Oh wait, its $210 for a single day ticket and you have to ride a bus from Nashville. What. The. Fuck.
Why would anyone pay 2/3rds of a whole weekend pass for 11 hours of music? Jesus Christ Bonnaroo, if that ticket was $100 you might have gotten some money from me this year.
I'm actually pretty happy with the daily...interesting things I noticed: - Umphrey's McGee is probably closing the Which Stage on Sunday, this could be awesome as they'll be able to play as long as they'd like.
My first Roo so explain this to me if you can... I thought Sunday's headliner is unopposed and play from 9-11? So would Umph would still be during the day wouldn't they?

Bro, you get complimentary water during the ride. Worth it.

Ween played 7:00 to 8:15 last year with Dead & Co starting at eight. The sun is starting to go down at that point, but it's still a let down as the set time would have a very definite end as they start closing off the rest of Centeroo during this time. I would not expect them to keep it open longer for Umphrey's to jam.

Lol, I saw that. It's like I'm being flipped off through their words.
I really hope that in a few years there's a behind the scenes documentary or something that gives us a look into what the hell has been going on in terms of putting this festival together.

Seeing the bands by day makes me even less enthusiastic. Sadly I think Bonnaroo and I have arrived at the point of irreconcilable differences. I'll see U2 in Chicago and catch the other acts I like with ease over the course of the summer. So long old friend!
Honestly not as bad as I thought but the no Umph late night thing sucks and I'm sure Saturday will have Future Islands conflict with the Superjam which will suck as well.

But if it's Chance > RHCP and Lorde > The Weeknd, I'm okay. I was perfectly fine with RHCP being Sunday because I'm seeing them for a third time this April so I didn't have to worry about rushing to their set if there was someone good closing the Which (like Lorde). Either way, Sunday is a lot better for me this year. Last year I only cared about FJM and Death Cab.

Even if they were to close the Which stage, Bonnaroo will not let them play past their set time. Same thing happened with Ween last year, Deaner kept bitching that they wanted to keep playing but Bonnaroo wouldn't let them.
It's also clear Bonnaroo will no longer book acts with the potential to play longer sets in LN slots anymore. For whatever reason, Roo wants a hard cutoff of 3:30am for LN tents.
I try to stay positive but jesus bonnaroo is so goddamn lame.

3:00am*
even when they delayed the festival by two hours last year they still cut everything off at 3:00am
anyway after much research here's the breakdown of what I'd want to see:
Thursday: -Great: The Orwells, Innanet James -Good: Ten Fe, July Talk, Kevin Abstract, Turkuaz, Lemon Twigs, Twiddle -Okay: Kaiydo
Friday: Great: U2, Tove Lo, Portugal. The Man, DRAM, Car Seat Headrest, Gallant, James Vincent McMorrow Good: Major Lazer, Big Gigantic, Claude VonStroke, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Ganja White Night, Kevin Morby, Barclay Crenshaw, Khruangbin, Klagstof Okay: The XX, Cold War Kids, NGHTMRE, Francis & The Lights, Leon, Angelique Kidjo
Saturday: Great: Chance the Rapper, Flume, Future Islands, Tegan & Sara, Michael Kiwanuka, The Front Bottoms, Big Jesus Good: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Cage the Elephant, Rezz, Lucy Dacus Okay: Joseph, San Holo, COIN
Sunday: Great: The Weeknd, Lorde, Umphrey's McGee, Royal Blood, Noname Good: Travis Scott, Crystal Castles, Flatbush Zombies, Amine, BADBADNOTGOOD, Cam, White Reaper Okay: Yellow Claw, Dua Lipa, Margo Price, Aaron Lee Tasjan
Saturday and Thursday are def weak but I'll be able to make a weekend out of it
Love this break-down, but now I'm worried about stacked days and potential conflicts. Thursday will be sick.
Right bro-methius? We gotta get our vibe tribes together and party on down at the farm fam! #vibes #latenights #farmfam #kalliope #corporategreed #itslit

Tell that to Ween, who held the same spot last year and got cut off even though they clearly wanted to keep playing. Nope, you'll get exactly 75 minutes of Umph if you're lucky.
