I'm gonna go with Weezer and Cage the Elephant as the headliners this year.
I would hope Cage wouldn't be back already having just played 2 years ago. Plus they're at Shaky Knees and there's typically little to no crossover with them. I'd assume Weezer will probably be there though.
2017: 2/24 Twenty One Pilots 4/1 Radiohead 6/7 Glass Animals 9/10 Modest Mouse 9/21 Arcade Fire 9/29 Kings of Leon 10/3 Foster the People 10/17 The xx 10/22 LCD Soundsystem 11/8 Bon Iver
Pre-Secret clue looks to be a diamond and fur? Gonna guess Run the Jewels (Panther Like a Panther).
Looks like you're right. Very happy about this one, hope we can get some of the other good acts from Forecastle (PLEASE SPOON). Their lineup is shaping up to be much better than I initially thought.
Fwiw, 3rd hand rumor HL's WSP, Alabama Shakes, Sturgil Simpson
Could be worse I guess. I'd enjoy Alabama Shakes and Sturgill since I somehow haven't managed to see either of them yet. Not really a fan of Panic, hoping they'd put RTJ against them.
So it seems like the top four is gonna be Panic, Alabama Shakes, Sturgill, and RTJ. Really hoping for a surprise tomorrow but I'd be fine with those. Only one I've seen is RTJ and its been well over a year since then.
Gary Clark and MMJ seemingly have the one off in NY on 7/15, so possible.
Oh man, don't get my hopes up like that. I would be so so happy if that happened. It's a 972 mile drive from Forest Hills Stadium to Sloss Furnaces so I doubt it's likely.

The last time I saw RTJ in Birmingham they played a free show at the Zydeco and there were probably less than 100 people there and they killed it. That same night, literally 30 minutes after they walked off stage, they released RTJ2 and absolutely blew up. I'm really excited to see them come back to Birmingham after these last two albums. Especially if they close out a night in the Shed Stage.
