So my best who is mixing my EP got a new job that took up all of his time (it's insane hours) and got robbed two nights ago. He's really bent out of shape about it and I don't want to press him right now. I hate how bad I am about not putting out music so here is one of the completed songs. Let me know what you think! soundcloud.com/mattkirchhoefer/when-this-is-over/s-2xowSUeuEmi
this has been what i've been doing for the past few weeks. It's a cover of CRJ's I'll Be Your Girl slowed down about 30BPM. I played the guitars/bass/piano/keys/congas, and tweaked a MIDI drum track my buddy recorded on his electric drums. I've been teaching myself how to use Reaper to add effects, mix, master, etc. Been a fun experiment.
all feedback welcome, especially on the mix. been listening on a couple different speaker systems and it's been inconsistent sounding.

been messing around with my turntables for a couple weeks now and wanted to record something before my serato trial runs out. Been doing some house stuff but not polished enough yet so here's a mix of mostly fun 2000's songs.

for only being at it for a couple weeks ago, this ain't bad at all! If you want I can give some specific feedback, but I can also just let you figure stuff out on your own lol

I’ve written an EP. I’m too much of a perfectionist to think it’ll be recorded to my liking anytime soon, but here’s my living room version of the intro track, “Far Too”.

My band put out our first single this past August, and are prepping another for release on 3/22. Recorded it all ourselves and such, I'm pretty proud of it!

I liked this. the guitar tone is great on the solo. the bass fills and vocals at the end are cool too. interested to hear some more.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
