I think I’m just disappointed because the drops hit my taste really hard. If Beck and Megan Thee Stallion dropped I wouldn’t care. I’m one of the rare people who is simultaneously a fan Massive Attack, Brockhampton, Perfume, & Turnstile, the first 3 were number 1 on my day and represent like $450 of value to me personally. I can see how others could be nonchalant about it, but it’s my taste super hard. It’ll still be fun and I’ll get over it, but looking back I question whether I’d buy a ticket and go through the tremendous hassle I had to to get 2.5 weeks in a row of vacation time approved to go for this lineup knowing 3 of my favorites wouldn’t be there.
I appreciate that programming and planning a festival has been especially difficult but I'm not sure an email explaining that was necessary.
people seemed mad they didn’t acknowledge drops before. Like in this very thread people were mad about lack of communication
And I think that anger was silly. I get being disappointed and even being mad that they aren't "replacing" Massive Attack but I don't understand the need for them to be constantly explaining themselves.

I think this festival potentially has some big III Points 2021 energy where there are going to be a lot of people who are going for the first time (to be fair, I have also never been) who will complain more than the usual attendees

I shared my top 60 in a group thread for a fantasy basketball league with my college buds. My friend goes "why isn't Molchat Doma on there?" I go "because I saw them like two weeks ago so they wouldn't be a conflict at the festival". Then he's like "oh haha I was jk I didn't think you'd know who that was".

I have two VIP tickets to this I'd sell at a discount off face. I got told there's not much interest on the wait-list and me nor my friend can make itn

Heard a rumor on Reddit that Playboi Carti is dropping too, citing that his website doesn't have Primavera listed (https://www.playboicarti.com/tour-dates). That would suck, but the guy is notorious for not showing up to things, he literally canceled the hour the show was supposed to start on two separate occasions for reschedulings of the same show when I had a ticket to see him. Was lit when it finally happened though...

while seeing him was fun we arent missing out much if he drops imo. its essentially a dj set with the crowd and lighting effects being the biggest parts of the show

The crowd is what made the show for me, but with how stacked the day he’s playing is, it’s whatever if he drops.

You'd think they would have booked a few more mid / lower tier artists to pad the lineup when the dropouts would inevitably begin. Either way I have way too much to see so I'm good.

If we've learned anything from this thread and reddit it is that the people want replacement acts and not addition acts. These are different but science hasn't figure out how they are different yet.

I just want the drops and additions to balance out. A headliner for both weekends dropped, but only one headliner was added (Phoenix). Add a headliner to weekend 1 and it’s fair I’d say, that Thursday is getting really light w/o MA & Turnstile, and the need to see Rina eliminated by the Poble show. I think the additions elsewhere come close to making up for the drops, even though inevitably some peoples favs will drop and there’s just no making it up to each of them individually. Plus we haven’t even gotten around to the last second Covid drops, but that’s not something the fest can really be blamed for.
I still, naively , think we're getting a bunch of late adds.
It's that or they're drastically changing the layout for the stages to accommodate bigger crowds. Hopefully both but I'm thinking the latter due to them calling it "saint-adria" for the first time
