Funny you say that because Pavement were originally supposed to perform in LA this year but the plans didn't work out so only the two Euro dates were finalized. Maybe in 2020 will the US see Pavement again.
Only worldwide dates. Its been specified by the festival, these are the only 2 pavement shows anywhere all year.
I know, but there was originally scheduled to be 3.
There's a user posting on efests that has been dropping names he knows are booked for early June festivals that typically have crossover with PS. So far they've mentioned: Jamie xx, Bicep. Anderson Paak. , London Grammer and Flight Facilities. One more name tomorrow so i'll update this post then
Any latest rumors on this? Just off the top of my head:
-Vampire Weekend's tour dates of a few dates the week before Prima in the US then going to Europe seems like they can be in, plus they played Mad Cool last year -Deftones announce they are playing a festival in Germany the same weekend as Prima. Makes them possible, though I think they're a better fit for Mad Cool -Lana Del Rey just has to be one of the HLs, right? If they make the 50/50 male/female push again, plus she's not playing Spain on her short Feb/March EU tour, think it makes a lot of sense.
Could see Pavement, LDR, and VW being three of the top 6. I think Pavement might be #2 on their day but LDR and VW would probably headline.

-Vampire Weekend is possible, but more likely to stay in the USA that weekend for GovBall. -Deftones could happen on Thursday June 4th, but I also see them play Mad Cool or something along those lines. -Lana could be for GovBall as well, but she is skipping Spain on her short 2020 European arena tour, so definitely possible.
Billie Eilish seems like a shoe-in given that the Primavera gang booked her for an arena show in Barcelona this fall. Also, I don't think Pavement will be considered a headliner. There was barely an audience response at the festival when the videoscreens showed that clip of them being announced for 2020.

Not sure where they played in 2010, but Pavement headlining the Rayban would be so much better than the main stages.

That's practically guaranteed; I'm counting on them to be 4th on their respective day with a Rayban slot, similar to FKA twigs this year. Also, Pavement on one of the two main stages would be a disaster. Similar to Courtney Barnett this year, who had a pitifully small audience size.

They played the main stage in 2010. But 9 years ago it was much different than now. No extra vip, no insane crowds, so Ray Ban sounds about right for them, just at 2am.

Attempting to plan a trip from the US West Coast to hit both Primavera fests in June... Any tips/advice?
-Book flights early, you can get great rates in December -If you want to see Barcelona, do it on non-festival days because the play is probably to stay close to the fest and just rest and relax in morning/afternoon. I stayed in Barceloneta and it was a pain getting back each day -Get there early on the day you pickup your wristband, don't do it on Thursday -If you're at one of the two main stages, camp out in the back of a headliner you don't really care about, so you can flip to the other stage late in their set -I'm not an electronic music fan but I still thought going to the electronic stages on the beach was sweet. Go to 1 set a day you weren't planning on and know nothing about cuz it will probably be sweet
They spoke about Lana a lot. Played Frank Ocean Max Richter is on their booking list but not sure if that means Primavera Four Tet will be a Primavera somewhere 20th anniversary so returning favorites and classic bands who havent played Has spies that Portishead have something coming next year but album released too late so not booked for 2020 but alluded to 2021
And most heartbreaking for me NIN were booked for Barcelona , Porto and LA for 2020 but Trent and Atticus have been asked to do Fincher's next movie so they are booked for 2021.
The idea of Portishead and NIN playing 2021 makes me moist

Guy on r/FrankOcean said that they talked about Frank and that all he can say is that Frank has a US tour ending at Coachella. Is this true?
"Frank Ocean - Radio PS are playing DHL by Frank Ocean while discussing the first time Gabi saw Belle & Sebastian. Gabi leaked that he is booked until Coachella where he is going to end his US 2020 tour, which make sense. If he is the headliner of Camp Flog Naw in a week we should start thinking about having Frank again for the 20 birthday as a present."
I think NIN and Pavement are still likely for Primavera LA 2020.
yeah, I'm not a big Pavement fan at all but there was something about the way they worded the announcement that made me think that Porto & Barcelona were Pavement's only 2020 *non-US* dates.
So sounds as if the headliners were NIN - Frank - Lana and are now [?] - Frank - Lana if we're reading between all these lines.
He also says the entire lineup is booked besides one artist. Imo they're still trying to get Frank at the moment because saying that doesn't make sense unless it's a headliner level act.
The Pavement announcement literally says only worldwide shows of 2020? I'm not following yall with that guess.
Yeah; what I'm getting at is that I thought it was weird they said "worldwide" shows instead of just saying their only shows of 2020. I always thought they left that in there in case they ended up playing some US shows so they could claim that Porto/Barcelona were the only international dates. I'll admit it's a technical detail to get hung up on.
