This is still incredible! I’m shocked to see Gorillaz ..
Given the names who are not on there anymore, I'm a bit shocked of their replacements tbh. I thought the market would be a lot bigger next year and thus more opportunities to book certain artists. Also really weird to see an entire top line of females just get replaced by Tame, Gorillaz, Twigs, Charli and Jamie xx (which was already very empty btw). #OldNormal is back?
Top lines: Tame Impala - The Strokes - Gorillaz - Beck Pavement - Tyler, The Creator - The National Bad Bunny - Iggy Pop - FKA Twigs - Disclosure Young Thug - Bauhaus - Brockhampton - Charli XCX Jamie xx - King Krule - Caribou - King Gizz Chromatics - Earl Sweatshirt...

Kind of interesting how a few names can drastically alter your perception of the line up. Loving the addition of FKA, Gorillaz and Autechre. Charli XCX was one of the best performers in 2019 so I'm on board with her back. Definitely ok with Lana and Brittany Howard out. Hopefully they didn't go completely away from the 50/50 line up because I would love to see some Beach Bunny, Jess Williamson, Caroline Rose and Phoebe Bridgers on.
Is this just Primavera being awesome or will festival lineups in general be extra stacked in 2021? Given that: artists will be eager to perform, people employed in live music need the work, and fans will be excited for the return of concerts

There will definitely be some good lineups next year with probably more of them on the European side. It’s super early, but Gov Ball is off to a rocky start.
11/17: Slowdive* 11/19: Caribou* 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol

I don't think this is an indication that 2021 lineups will be especially stacked. This is a fairly standard Primavera lineup.
2020 was better but this is a great start. I guess its a little unfair to compare a partial lineup with the full 2020 one. Still a little skeptical that a big international festival will happen in June of 2021 so I'll probably wait to buy a ticket.

They pretty much just ensured they kept key acts from this year and added what they likely had next year. And None Inch Nails not being on there is interesting. Dont know if Trent wants to keep that a mystery still or what.

I love it and Tame looks more appetizing to me since the SF date got moved so I haven’t seen the new album. I don’t care how easy an artist was to see if I haven’t seen their new album that I enjoy yet.

In the interview with Gabi they offered some acts the chance to move to 2022 if they wanted to. It’s likely Trent preferred to move 2022 instead . They wouldn’t find in this line up. I feel like the headliners are sorted now.
This lineup is sick for being less than half of it. I'm sure there's artists that simply don't want to commit a year in advance that might get added as well. Someone asked about Lana on Twitter and they responded that there's many more names to come so she may still be here too.
Also if anyone didn't get the email. If you roll your ticket over for next year the perks are: 10% credit of the value of your ticket to spend at the fest exclusive early bird presale for 2022 15% discount on another ticket for 2021 for a friend exclusive edition of their 20th anniversary book 20th anniversary shirt

I frankly doubt that Lana will be there, mainly because of Tame Impala and Gorillaz being added. There's a finite number of headline slots, unless they expand the Sunday to a full fourth day.

NIN and Portishead in 2022
What if NIN had other festival offers for the same time and now couldnt. Who knows. But we’ll see. I dont know if Trent would want to reveal that the band will be back in a year and kind of have to guarantee that a new album wouldve been done and such. The September run seemed to have been a better way for NIN to flesh out a handful of new songs and then go full whack next year.

Ya thats what I think. He will finish off score work and then do NIN stuff. I have a feeling they will do the dates due for this year in 2021 and the Europe in 2022. Just a guess. Sooner the better for me but I cant see them fitting into that line up either. 2022 with a rumored Portishead would be rad.
