Didn't realize there was a shuttle. I've still got much to learn. Can anyone tell me where to find a map or route of the shuttle/buses?
EDIT: Actually, I think I get it now. Shuttle goes from the fest to Plaça Catalunya... My current booking is about a 40 min walk from there. Might try to find something closer.
EDIT 2: OH JEEZ NVM. Prices have gone up substantially since I booked. Looks like I'm staying put.
Blood Incantation 11.12 Caribou 11.13 Interpol & The Walkmen 11.23 I Am Morbid/Suffocation 11.26 King Diamond 11.29 Sadistic Intent/Massacre 11.30 70K Tons Of Metal 2025 Sick New World 2025 Maryland Deathfest 2025
The metro is rly easy for getting to the fest and as long as you make it to the end of the night you can take it home every day as well so I don’t think it’s a huge deal where you stay if your close to one of those lines.

Unless you find a good deal or really need to be very close to the fest now is probably not the best time to book accommodations.

When would be the best time to book accommodations? After flights become available in a month or so?
Just keep checking bookings and things will open up soon. Since theyre all privvy to the event itll be tricky but not impossible. Flights arent going to be dirt cheap from the get go unless airlines do some summer 2022 sale. I figure the late summer/early fall will have cheap flights popping up. And lots of airlines will wait to open up availability anyway. Set up alerts on some flight deal sites so you can just get notified of changes in fares.
What times do the club shows usually run? Are those in the wee hours of the morning also?
Which one are you interested in? I'd say the one with King Gizzard and Slowdive will start around 8pm but the one with Jamie xx won't start til 1am, for instance. The PC Music showcase should run around ¿8pm-2am? idk, way too early and too many options to guess right now.
Apologies if this has been brought up already during schedule talk, but does the fest still start at like 4 or 5 pm and run through sunrise?
I was trying to explain that to a buddy going and he couldn't wrap his head around it.
Yes. Doors around 3ish. Headliners don't go on till 11pm and after. Watching Jarvis Cocker DJ on the beach at 5am will always be a highlight from 2019.
Good. I didn't lie to him. I remember seeing a run of FJM > Michael Gira> Jeff Mangum in the Auditori that started at like 4 and was the first thing I saw that day.
does anyone have a good real life picture of Mordor for an idea of the size of the space? it hasn't seemed that big to me when I have been searching for any sort of picture

I haven't posted in over a year, hell I haven't been on this forum in over a year. I shut that part of my brain off for quite a while. But man oh man does it feel good to turn it back on. I had no idea how much I missed it. I went in 2016 and the argument can for sure be made that it's still the best 1 weekend lineup ever, but man. This really is the best lineup I've ever seen. Not just for my personal tastes but somehow after a good nice handful of big fests I've been to I've barely seen anyone on either of these weekends. Pure dumb luck. The playlist I made really made it hit how unbelievable this is. I hope not, but I feel like this is the best it's ever going to get for people who like what Prima puts on. Barcelona is the best city, I can't wait to go back and am so happy so many of you are going for the first time! Sorry for the rant but damn I'm pumped. Feels good to turn it on again.
Also, I went through the last 15 pages or so and it's so awesome to see this board thriving and going absolutely nuts over these lineups. Hope you all and yours have been happy and healthy. Salud!

I’d just keep an eye on things. I doubt I’ll book anything before late fall/early winter but if you find something you like at a price you like go ahead and book it. Accommodations aren’t going to fill up in the city anytime soon. Most of the people visiting Barcelona that week won’t be in the city for Primavera.
I’m also a bit of a procrastinator so probably don’t listen to me.
