I have a friend who will be in Spain around this time for his honeymoon and I guess they're thinking about doing weekend 2 of this but tickets are already sold out. What are the odds of them adding more tickets on the waitlist? If they do end up going the resale route, any tips on how best to go around doing that?

Yeah but that's because Dua Lipa was supposed to play there this fall, and her entire tour got moved.
Regarding ticket prices: 60 euros is a normal rate in Europe for acts of Dua Lipa's size. The aforementioned cost for Blackpink was a huge anomaly and caused a big stir, as they also charged the same amount for other European dates. But the fans bought their tickets regardless, so more power to them.

Also, I was actually at that Blackpink show in Barcelona, and I really don't think there's much overlap between their fans and Primavera's main audience/demographic. It just wouldn't make sense as a pricey headliner booking.
prices to spain are going to be expensive no matter what unless you take an iberia/level direct out of chi/bos/nyc or take tapair with a layover in lisbon. things fluctuate but historically the sweet spot is 3-5 months before. i've saved money by just going to madrid and taking a high speed to barcelona as well. right now is definitely not the time to buy

Yeah. In my experience Barcelona is not a cheap city to fly to compared to a lot of other cities in Europe.
