So since we can't activate our QR code until two hours before the event in the Dice app I assume that means I won't be able to pick my VIP wristband a day before the fest like I did in 2016?

Good question. In prior years there were always the pre-shows where you could get your wristband, and those aren't happening in 2022. We'll see.
i’m a few glasses of wine deep right now and i just gotta say i cannot fucking wait for this festival. weekend 1 especially feels like it was booked specifically for my taste and i just cant get over how stacked it is.
updated OP with a new section listing the other shows (other than Primavera mid-week shows) that is happening around Primavera and might be of interest to some.

Other than the Julien Baker show on 5/31, I don't want to plan too far ahead for this type of mid-week stuff. Just gonna make everything last-minute and hopefully there will be a way to attend.
Thought about that too, but all my friends are arriving on that Wednesday and I think it'd be more fun to just catch up and chill somewhere in town. At least you'll have one less schedule conflict to be concerned about.

fair enough, definitely down to meet up w some inforoo ppl at the fest though! tbf thats exactly why i got the ticket. This is an unreal fest and I wanna make sure I can see everyone I want to. Especially the rarer and electronic acts since Boston never gets decent electronic shows

Isn't she playing the festival anyways, in w2? Or did I remember that wrong?

I wish the free Wednesday was still a thing, as that made for the best opportunity to have meet-up's at the festival. It'll definitely be cool to chat with people from here when the times comes.
Picking acts based on their rarity and the stage they are playing at is absolutely the way to go for Primavera.

Yeah that's what I meant; seeing Dua outside the fest means you could see whatever she's clashing with on the Thursday of W2 (which is already jam-packed).

I learned that lesson that hard way when I skipped the second half of Underworld for Oh Sees in 2015. Both were great but I can see Oh Sees pretty much every year and still regret missing Born Slippy.

I think everybody who attends Primavera has at least one big regret like this. Looking back at 2019, I wish I didn't pass on Julia Holter in the Auditori (there's a pro-shot recording of her set floating around that's amazing).
