How do you all keep finding these great flight deals? I feel like I'm doing something wrong here because everything I see is radically more expensive than what's being posted by other members.
In other news, this lineup has led me discover a lot of great artists I'd not listened to before, but the biggest find was finally going back and listening to Fever Ray's first album. It's very, very good

I used momondo and then just searched random international airports -> Barcelona.

I personally use Kayak whenever I'm booking flights. Generates prices for just about every major airline/airport and will automatically combine airlines to get the best price (I'm sure there are plenty of similar sites).
After giving it nearly 5 minutes of careful consideration, I decided to book a flight for Barcelona. Between Primavera, Mad Cool and Lolla Paris I will have to file for bankruptcy, but that is a future me problem. My apologies because I'm sure it's been discussed, but is it worth the upgrade to VIP for this? Thanks in advance.
Those booking sites are good and all, but I’d also suggest booking directly through the carrier’s site after finding the flight you want. Booking with a third-party site could end disastrously.
Skyscanner has also been a nice resource for me. It usually just gives me a good idea of what they’re going for and I end up buying direct from the airline. Icelandair has some cheap deals sometimes (plus you get to layover in Iceland) and the seats are pretty comfortable for international flights. Wow Air is a budget airline out of Iceland similar to Spirit so you have to watch for baggage fees and all that, but can find very cheap flights. Easyjet is worth tracking too, but same rules apply.

With Kayak it’ll still redirect you to the airline for the actual booking, but I agree that going through the official airline site is the way to go.

Good to know about Kayak redirecting you. I learned the hard way with Expedia in the past.
Shit, urgent question: If my flight lands at 6:25pm Barcelona time Monday, will I be able to make the evening shows?? Otherwise there's a flight landing at 3:55pm. I really want to see The Men.

In that case, I wouldn't risk and would book the flight that lands at 3:55 pm.

Monday shows last year started around 8:30. I'm not sure if you need to get their early to get in or not though.

Yes you’ll be able to make it. Those shows start late and are easy to get into.
I went in 2015 and 2016, and hit all the club shows the latter year. Wednseday and Sunday are the nights you’ll have to queue early to get in.

I'm sticking with the music theme and going with Rock Palace hostel. I was originally considering Airbnb, but tough to top a rooftop pool and bar on site. Anyone else going with a hostel for this fest?
Spiritualized and Belle and Sebastian are a pretty perfect start to this fest (and hopefully Wolf Parade). Now I just have get in some siesta prep time, so I don't pass out at 1 AM every night.
