a theme is presented, everyone posts some songs, people like those posts, and we take the top 20ish posts with the most "likes." this option means each song suggestion would need to be an individual post and this thread could get to lots of pages really quickly. seeing other people's interpretation of the theme could spur more suggestions, or it could make the final playlist seem boring because everything is laid out there.
I like this option. That way we can still be exposed to new music even if it isn't ultimately the most popular choice.

So, I think I'll just get this shindig underway.
I'll serve as the first theme-master, so to speak. For the first them, I'll pick "the first one"
Everyone submit songs they think fit the them via PM to me.
Two weeks (?) From now I'll post a 20 song playlist of tunes I think fit the bill as a Spotify playlist.
We can discuss the theme in the meantime, interpretations, etc. And once I post the playlist we can discuss the playlist.
Three ish days later, I'll post ALL submitted songs and the submitter, so we can see what was left out, mock people who were dumb, applaid people who were awesome, and circle jerk about the tunes that everyone submitted.
So, PM me your tunes before August 13th if you want to play. No limit on submissions, but I won't let one person dominate the dial. Ill update the OP to reflect the current theme and rules, and let's have a playlist fun time game!
