Im not sure why everyone is suggesting these obscure bands that were also critically acclaimed. I think its a much safer bet that one of the headliners is a Pop act, because thats what would be odd for Panorama to be booking
Have to assume they're still dealing with contract negotiations. Every day they wait is a day they lose out to Gov Ball, Boston Calling or Firefly (or people, ya know, booking vacations in July).

I don't know if Founders would do it until Gov Ball was nearly sold out, but they could also drop the Meadows Lineup early and totally suffocate a late-arriving Pano lineup.

Oddly enough I was thinking about that this morning... think it would be a really interesting business move for them (assuming they're even at a point where they could drop the lineup). Guess a lot depends on the genre crossover, GB seems to have skewed relatively young this year and I'd assume the same from Meadows, so it could just do more harm than good. There is definitely somewhat of a different demographic in the 18-24 range, though, due to college being in/out of session and internships. In the end, I doubt would happen. Still more crossover between GB/Meadows crowds than Pano/Meadows crowds, and I doubt they'd even be able to release the lineup right now.

I'm not sure I'd assume The Meadows would skew young. I know it did in Year 1, but last year's lineup was actually fairly heavy on older-skewing acts that have been around for a while - Gorillaz, RHCP, Jay-Z, LL, De La, Nas, Weezer, Badu, M.I.A., TV on the Radio, BSS, etc. The ratio of "old" folks to young was much, much closer than it was at GovBall. I'm not saying they're definitely playing to an older crowd with The Meadows...but they didn't really shy away from it last year, either.
Then again, last year didn't sell out, so maybe they'll shift again. WHO KNOWS D00DZ.
