From what I heard they were supposed to close a stage at Boston Calling with Pinegrove as one of the earlier acts.
I was thinking the other day that Brand New would've fit right in on that lineup. Pinegrove probably would've been all over this year. Feel bad about Pinegrove. Not Brand New.

Am I missing something? I just read the letter from Pinegrove, and um, he is guilty of being a human?

The letter itself isn't incriminating, it's pretty standard relationship drama in your 20's. But when he first released that letter, the common thought was that he was trying to get ahead of an allegation/story that was about to come out. It was right on the heels of the Brand New and Real Estate allegations so people braced for the worst.
But those allegations never came. And now everyone is sort of in a wait and see period to see if this was just a kid being over-sensitive and hurting his bands momentum, or if the other shoe is still eventually going to drop.

several people close to him seemed to imply that he was pretty much hiding something (plus there's some pretty disgusting stuff he's said before that he ended up deleting shortly after that feels much more incriminating)

For Brand New, the accusations against him took place 15 years ago. It appears from all indications that he is a different person than he was when he did the terrible things he did. And if you are one who can't get past the allegations against Brand New, in addition to tossing away all your Bowie and Zeppelin materials, make sure you also toss away your Chili Peppers, Prince, and John Lennon albums as well.

Apologize for the Prince comment..I misremembered anything bout him....but Chilis aren't even allegations they are quotes from his book about his relations a teenage girl
