Bored at work so I updated my clashfinder and filled it out with some other names. Made me realize we're about 3-4 good names away from this lineup being conflict city for me.

I hope the beginning of each day is different than your clashfinder. I want to check out all of those acts (well, still need to listen to Sidi Toure). I agree though, schedule is already packed aside from the Saturday headliners
This is exciting! Really hoping we get some solo sets from this, too. David Ramirez's album was a popular X-mas gift among our Newport family this year.

Black Pumas are playing Pickathon as well, so I could see them as a possibility.

If I'm counting right (which would be a surprise) as of today they have 17 announcements to go. Certainly doesn't look like they plan to stop the names every day, which would mean the last announcement would be the 26th of April, about two weeks before they announced Wilco last year (May 8th according to the gram.)
Aftershows and Museum stuff made up another two weeks or so of announcements last year. I know people here speculated they were including museum acts, but I don't think that's the case anymore. I figure with Chris Funk out for Pete's Sake they'll want to tell us who is curating the museum this year, plus the non-music stuff (book talks, podcasts) usually get their own announcements.
Should we be reading anything into this? I'm 100% sure there won't be extra artists announced for the fort, so my take is more aftershows. They've cleverly expanded the festival past the state-park mandated sundown ending time with NBC and Jane Pickens, and they've added shows in bars, the wedding venue on goat island etc.
I think we get 3 more official aftershows instead of just one this year, with artists who aren't scheduled for the fort. You heard it here first.
Posted this over in the NYC thread but some of y'all will probably be interested.

where do people recommend I start with wood bros? Have heard the name for years and really like “luckiest man” but sadly I’m otherwise out of the loop. Tips plz!
Yes! I'm so excited for this one. Always love their shows and every year hope to get to experience the love of their shows with the spirit of the fort!
Also helps that just last night the gf was relaying how upset she was that we wouldn't get to see them next week. I think she'll be okay with the waiting now!

They've got a few (3?) live albums that I always steer people towards to check them out. I like their studio albums but they're just a whole other thing live.
