We’re probably getting close to after show announcement time too, right?
Do they usually announce Museum and after-show stuff before the full lineup is announced?
I seem to recall that they have in previous years. If my memory serves me right, they do it towards the end, and there’s a lull as they do it, only to fire off a few more names of artists on main stages to end on an exciting note.

So in relation to this and the fast line-up reveal... is there any chance any of the artists announced will be Museum players? With Chris Funk out this year (if I'm remembering that correctly) maybe the Museum format will be different?

Maybe? I was assuming all of the announcements were non-Museum so far.

Me too, just bringing up the possibility that they might mix it up. I don't know who would be quite small enough to ONLY play a Museum set out of the announced artists, though...
2018 ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT: Please welcome Eric D. Johnson's "Beneath The Sacred Mountain: A Cosmic American Revue" – featuring The Spacebomb House Band, Phil Cook, Josh Kaufman, Matthew E. White, and more.

I don’t know, I feel like they’d have been announced as such. But there are quite a few acts when I look at each day, look only big enough to open a stage. There are a bunch of acts without even 100 likes on the Facebook announcement. I could easily see Charlie Parr, Daniel Norgren, Sidi Toure, Twain, and/or Jen Cloher in the Museum. And in many cases, we’ve had bigger acts in the Museum in previous years (I point to the year that Communion had a Museum Stage).
So is this a new unannounced project from Fruit Bats? Is it a Byrds tribute he's putting together? So many questions and I need them ANSWERED NOW!
Glad you said this. And here I thought it was the Grammy-winning instrumentalist Eric Johnson. And I was actually kind of excited for that with some folk singers harmonizing over his guitar slinging.

Wasn't Born to Follow is my favorite psych-folk song ever. I am soooo excited for whatever this is. I'm expecting some psych folk covers (Byrds, Dead, Floyd, etc)?
Upcoming Shows: August 7: Green Day/Smashing Pumpkins/Rancid/The Linda Lindas August 30: Waxahatchee/Snail Mail/Tim Heidecker September 17: Pearl Jam/Glen Hansard September 24: Idles/English Teacher

Yep, that's what I'm leaning towards too. This just jumped to the top of my "must-see" list.

Haha, thanks! No wonder you’re all so excited for this: I see an instrumentalist most famous for his song “Cliffs of Dover” and a Voice winner when I look at the announcement.
