Double faking (which we didn't do) was the evil nurse's idea.
Bwahahahaha! Dang. I really wanted to bad, too.
At any rate.
ha!! I knew Zolah was Mafia. Dang.
So Taint isn't Mafia, I am not Mafia again either. So basically we need to think the opposite of ZIG each game.
Teasing ya, of course.
I was pretty sure Zolah was the reason that Carini was killed. That is why I voted for her this round. I was also pretty sure JR was town being set up to die first day, like he has the last few games he was town.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
So basically we need to think the opposite of ZIG each game.
I've been a big whiff last game and this game. I should stop playing 2 games in a row. It helped me for a bit.
In all honesty, based on Danbob saying we won't find the 3rd Mafia, it makes me think it would be the person most involved with the Danbob / Zolah in terms of voting. That would be Potent. Both Danbob and Zolah voted Potent D1R1 ultimately stacking him to 3, with Potent reciprocating with a vote for Zolah. Plus Carini was saying maybe 2 Mafia in the D1R1 runoff and if Potent is the 3rd, Zolah and Potent would have made Carini's statement seem Inspector-y. So maybe Carini spooked them and they thought they got the Inspector when they killed Carini and then tried to pull the fake reveal Day 2. Only to have it blow up in their face.
But now that I said that, it's probably the opposite. Maybe I need to recheck my DM to make sure I'm town this game...

I think Danbob's comment was meant to do just this. Don't look for the third based on Danbob's comment.

You've been fine, hun. I was totally just teasing you. You are a great player to have as a fellow townie. Very helpful.

I agree with you. I've been leaning that way since the beginning of the game, because of what he said about me. I still have my post it note on my computer that says "Pablo, Potent" for my first thoughts on who may be mafia before the first Whack. Not going to get locked into that, and certainly don't want to lose my sight of Jaz or you. But that is where I am leaning for now.

Can you quote for me the post where I said it? To be holding onto that is crazy to me. It was my opening vote of the game and it said that I didn't want you skating by, before voting for someone else. That's a really benign thing to hold onto.

Jaz/LLL each with 3 votes, 2 of which are the same. ZIG/Potent ea. w/ 6 votes, kind of all over the place. Neither voted for Dan. JR/Potent both stack Zolah D1R1, then reciprocate next time up.
I'm really struggling to decide who I would be setting up next for guess/votes.
A mafia of Zolah/Dan/ZIG immediately 3 stacking would be quacking bold so I'm leaning no on that.
Potent getting stacked by Dan/Zolah, and then playing on Zolah would've been a super bold move as well, and easily worse than Z/D/Z with all three ending in the runoff there.
LLL made the "JR saving" move, and gave Potent his vote back, but they can't all be the 3rd, so either LLL made a harmless mistake (or she killed mafia pablo) or she "saved" JR to give JR a mafia vibe to him as he was already in hot water he would have been likely for another runoff (which happened). But her vote on Zolah in D2 forces Zolah into a runoff she didn't need to be in, though it could have been a "theres no way we're working together, I voted for her" move.
JR in this scenario acts as "distancing mafia", by voting for other members and possibly setting himself up as the martyr of the group. Similarly to LLL here, JR sends Dan into a runoff he could've avoided, but maybe that's the point.
Honestly don't have a lot to go with for Jaz, which he has said was going to be his issue. His vote on Zolah could have been a distance move since at the time it was first vote and she still could have not been in the RO. After that vote he got more vocal about everyone being on the wrong trail, and brought up the carini as inspector/pablo as mafia things while there was a 3:3 tie with JR, Dan, and Zolah left to vote.
Also to be noted: Pablo/Carini both made the move to 5. Pablo could have been doing it to hide Dan/Zolah, or he could have done it nobly and Carini as mafia jumped onto him for his mistake (something I've seen mafia do/done as mafia). But this should only be revisited if we make it into D4.
I think it's a bit pointless at this point to conjecture anymore about Pablo's role. Zolah is getting whacked Day 2 with Danbob probably on Day 3. Of the game ends after Day 3, we know he was the 3rd Mafia. If it continues, then we know he is town.
Maddog- You should add underlines, bolding, or colors to your large posts, otherwise they are difficult to follow.

I saved someone I was pretty sure was a Townie over someone I wasn't so sure was a Townie is what I did there. I made that clear. Like it or not. I don't like to see players repeatedly being voted off first day when they are townies because it is usually driven by Mafia and I didn't want to play into a mafia move. Plus he was my initial vote. If you go back to every game I play, you will see I rarely let someone who is my "voting partner" get voted off because I remain on them. I've done it that way for years.

please don't judge me by my formatting (again lol)

Pablo wrote I nice response validating my thoughts on it back on page 6.

trying to look at all the angles and not take past games or anything into account. also not trying to really throw anyone under the bus as much as possible. just want to get all my thoughts on the votes/data out while I can.

No problem, I understand and appreciate your perspectives and thoughts. And that is exactly what we need to do, bounce those thoughts off of one another. I feel it is important to also give a response in return so that no one gets locked into something without looking at the other angles.
