What a brutal, brutal game that was. It reminded me of the timeout I took from football like 5-6 years ago. That Shazier injury was terrifying.
That it was. Hope Shazier and Burfict bounce back okay. Had to hold back on all the "Burfict had that coming" posts on my timeline last night.
My brother and I almost sent the exact text to each other when they called roughing the passer on Big Ben during that drive in the 4th that ended up tying the game. We both knew it was over when that happened.

I feel you on Burfict. There's that part of me that wants to feel like it was karma or whatever coming back on him, but that was 100% dirty especially with the taunting after. It's not a matter of if there will be fines/suspensions. It's a matter of how much/how long.
I want a rival to talk like this with. They act like I take it too far in the college football thread.
I'm a Pats fan. Everyone hates us, and we just look down on everyone else. We don't even really hate anyone anymore since Peyton retired and Eli went to shit.
Do you struggle to reconcile your political beliefs with the Trump support from Brady, Belichick, and Kraft? I ask because my best friend is a liberal Patriots fan and she basically just tries to suppress it from her mind.

Yeah, suppression here as well.
If I was to choose football teams based on whatever team wasn't run by a conservative billionaire POS, I'd be down to the Packers basically.
I'm not coming in to talk shit today, because I'm not overly confident on the Saints vs. Falcons game tonight with us coming off a tough divisional game Sunday afternoon/evening vs. the Panthers. This game is giant for the Atlanta Falcons. They really need this game to stay competitive in the division and even in the playoff hunt. They're down 2 games in the NFC South (9-3 Saints, 7-5 Falcons) with 4 to go - 2 against the Saints and one each against the Panthers and Bucs. They literally have no room for error having already lost to Carolina this year once. They are still in the wildcard hunt having defeated the Seahawks a few weeks ago, but they have now fallen to 7th.
Regardless of what happens, I want a bounty on that ass.
What has 1060 fingers and no rings? Falcons and Panthers' active rosters.
(maybe an exception or two for ex=Saints players)
What is 28 to 3?
I'm trying to find a website that keeps up with active players who have rings and I'm not having any luck. And I appreciate your sentiment, but I think maybe only two active Saints have rings haha
EDIT: The answer is three: Brees, Morstead, and Strief
EDIT#2: That's only counting players who won with the Saints. There are other guys we added more recently who have rings, like Kuhn (not that he is on the active roster).
I'm not one to blame officials, but that roughing call on Big Rank was weak, and that formation call was tickytack. The injuries suck though. We lost 6 players in that half. Still, fuck Atlanta.
Yeah. That was a great game from a fan standpoint though I wondered what happened on that 3rd Down. Guess was clock was running, and it was because it went to 1:09 and counting and Coach Payton was clearly pissed anyway and didn’t get the call but instead got the unsportsmanlike. With that and the Brees pick, it has to slide because that’s our leaders. Assuming no one of the 7 or 8 players that got injured is out indefinitely, somebody is going to pay fucking dearly in the next 2 games. 40 will be scored. As for Jones, yeah he made the play. But he also went helmet to helmet/ear vs Kamara which is why we didn’t put up 30 today. The NFL allows some helmet first plays, but you won’t see that 2-3 seasons down the line. It was for sure a legal but cheap shot. Maybe that motherfucker will wreck his car on the way home. Fuck him. Fuck the Falcons. We will see you in 2 games. Bet the fucking house.
werent you you the same guy advocating for cheap shots on newton and bragging about bounties? wishing a car wreck on someone over a tackle is pretty f*cked.
hopefully, the Falcons can learn to capitalize on 150 yards of penalties and Dan Quinn takes a refresher course on game management before game 2.
