Lol. Best I could tell is maybe Marcus Williams looked to avoid the contact thinking he was early? He won’t be cut. He’s a bad ass safety. I’d like to hear from him if he whiffed a hit to the legs or tried to duck it. Regardless. Life goes on. We were good but not good enough.
Yeah it was. Jimmy Johnson felt like Williams was trying to avoid potential PI call with a stopped clock and FG attempt. Shit happens. We will be back.
I'm absolutely heartbroken. I could probably punch through the face of a Vikings fan or NFL referee right now. Or anyone wearing purple or stripes. Or Marcus Williams. That's going to hurt for many years to come, because I still hurt thinking about 2011

Hopefully Keenum sends that bro some money when he signs a $100 million contract or whatever he signs. Reminds me of that awful contract the ravens signed with Flacco after that ridiculous super bowl run
So on the Saints final offensive drive there was that pass that was ruled a catch, it was reviewed and upheld. There was a clear view of the ball hitting the ground before he had control, how was that not over turned?

No movement. Wasn’t enough. I wanted a TD on that drive. Solid attempt by Lutz with the game potentially on the line. Fuck

Are you talking about the pass at like the 29? I didn't see any shots that looked like he wasn't in control of it. I did see some shots that his elbow looked like the football hitting the ground, however.
Kneeling that extra point is a class move. Well done.
Not a gambler personally, but apparently the line in Vegas started at 5 points (the final number), but was bet up to 5.5. About 1/2 of the betting world were set to win, then lose on the PAT; the other half praying for the chip shot.

I just ate $33 worth of sushi to soothe my pain. $8 worth of McDonald's would've probably been sufficient, but whatever. I'm full and drunk and I'm a pit of despair. Break up with my gf and the Saints lose in the same week. Ugh
Damn. Perspective I guess. I’m pretty blahed the fuck out, but when a paralyzed dying person can mock their own situation, I guess things ain’t really all that bad. We played like some mfers in the 2nd half, but ultimately it remains difficult to win in the playoffs on the road even though the jags did and we almost did. Almost. It’s always pretty sudden and final when you get knocked out the playoffs. Winter Olympics is a couple weeks and Mardi Gras is < a month away and I guess Buku final lineup is Wednesday and Jazz Fest should be any day.

The Saints have nothing to regret from that game. Sometimes the breaks don't go your way. Even if Diggs got tackled where he caught that it was still a makeable field goal.
The Steelers should have trouble sleeping tonight, though.
They wouldn’t have been able to line up to spike it because there wasn’t enough time. He made the play and that’s that. Sucks but I think we went from a super old team to a young good team in 2 years. Window is small for Brees - probably 2-3 years max. But I like who we are and I’m still drinking because it’s a holiday and i caught a nap. Haha.
Credit to them. This is what, 6 or 7 in a row? Nobody does that and most of us may not see that again in our lifetimes unless Tom Brady decides to play another 6 years. They are the best and have the titles to prove it. It’s Wooden’s UCLA b-ball teams from 50 years ago.
Go Jags.
Saints have a tough hill to climb today. Recent history since 1994 has the saints 1-6 in Minneapolis, and we historically suck vs the Vikings. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’m ready for the big throw down having already taken a delicious breakfast shot of Don Julio 1942. It’s going to be a whiskey day, so there will be no apologies.
Is it really that impressive? They've dominated a bad division for 17 years, enough to earn a bunch of #1 seeds and get a home game to host the AFC Championship. They are 7-0 the last seven years in home games in the Divisional weekend. What would be the expected outcomes of an average team in that position? 6-1 at worst, right?
It's not to take much away from Belichick and Brady, but that the AFC East has largely been ass for this century has given them an even bigger advantage.
Look at the take on this guy.
Go Vikings! Gotta love watching the University of Houston guy Case Keenum continue to make his way as a legit NFL QB, even though I went to a rival school that he lit up while I was there. Pretty sure his yardage total vs Rice for his career is a record for a college QB vs one school.
