I found the recipe for that Berry crisp ice cream. That is never happening. You got fruit sauce to make. You got crisp streusel to make. Hell no.

Just saw that Bluebell has a limited edition Southern Blackberry Cobbler ice cream. May need to taste test.

update: I have eaten soft serve from the cafeteria every day this week.
I had been doing a strawberry and vanilla froyo mix, with honey granola crumbles on top.
Yesterday they switched out the strawberry for raspberry. Again I went with a mix and topped it with some sprinkles.
The raspberry was a bit too tart for my tastes, and it melted at a different rate than the vanilla so the consistency got weird as I neared the bottom of the bowl. Today I stuck with vanilla and made a layered cup with oreo/ice cream/peanuts/ice cream/sprinkles.
Tomorrow I am going to bring fresh strawberries from home and add those to the bowl when I get back to my desk. This way I can pretend I am being healthy, and also cut down on the weight (i.e: price) a little bit.
Also, walking back to my desk yesterday I passed a doctor rocking out to spice girls on his ear buds, and a mom and her daughter walking through the halls singing jingle bell rock.

Oreos and ice cream are in my top 5. I am jealous you have a cafeteria and they have ice cream. I mean technically I am in the French Quarter with the best cuisine steps away, but my pocketbook hates when I go searching for food in the Quarter. In the office would be so easy and make me 10lbs heavier in a heartbeat.
I guess I need to get me some more ice cream for the house tonight.

it helps that I don't actually pay for it, I just scan my badge and they take it out of my paycheck. so it's really easy to feel like it's "free." It's also a nice way for me to get out of my chair and walk for a bit; the cafeteria is in the hospital proper and I work in a separate building about a block away. Getting ice cream is how I get my steps in
I normally do not like nuts in my ice cream because they don't to take on a texture I'm not thrilled about when they are frozen and hanging out in the ice cream but this stuff is pretty great.
It's my first time. It's a little different, slightly crumbly. Still good but a few less calories. I haven't had the standard version of this flavor in years but it seems like it tastes pretty spot-on.
as i've mentioned elsewhere i've been eating HFLC since March, so my ice cream consumption has been rare.
however, we had my birthday dinner this past weekend, and we got an oreo blizzard ice cream cake from DQ. I can't remember the last time I had ice cream cake, seriously it's probably been a decade. Well ice cream cake is amazing, highly recommended for all your celebration needs. Or just cause you want some ice cream cake needs.

I agree. Kyle didn't want to celebrate so I bought an ice cream cake for him me.
I had it on Saturday and completely disagree. It was very cinnamony and the first bite I thought it was too much, but then I got the cookie dough part of it. It was delicious, I ate the whole thing, no regrets. Getting the oreo hot cocoa tonight though.
Kind of ice cream related... One of my colleague's kids goes to Oberlin where Jerry of Ben and Jerry's went. He apparently showed up at some event on campus last weekend and brought ice cream for everyone (jealous). The kid goes to his mom/my colleague, "in case you were wondering, Jerry really is a pothead."
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
postjack if you are ever headed to Destin or 30A, check out Blue Mountain Beach Creamery. bluemountainbeachcreamery.com It's on 30A about 15 minutes past Sandestin. My kids and I ate there every night of their spring break. Shits delicious.
