You know what I do not support? The Ben & Jerry's core ice cream. The container is split half and half with ice cream flavors and there's a core of a topping in the middle. It was a lot of work to make sure I got a good bit each time; a completely joyless dessert experience. Half the fun it finding a big vein of caramel or chunk of chocolate while you dig around!

I like the cores. I try to save the core for last and then just really glutton out.
And just to preach the glory that is Stewart's ice cream some more: They have Crumbs Along the Mohawk (graham flavored ice cream with graham cracker pieces and a caramel swirl). Ben & Jerry's has nothing comparable.

Is it the same Stewart's that makes root beer/orange soda/etc? That stuff is quality.

Nope. it is good stuff though. The logo's are actually very similar.

No. They have a solid, slightly under-carbonated line of store brands but they are not affiliated. (I agree with you about the national brand, though. The Key Lime is an unusual flavor, though I can probably have it only once in a while.)

To bring it back to the main topic, Key Lime Pie Talenti is the truth.

I am already losing track of what opinions I've already shared in this thread, but even if I'm repeating myself, I agree with you. I like ice cream because I like ice cream, I don't want a big tube of non-ice cream taking up ice cream space.
Having said that I LOVE candy in ice cream. But there needs to be a balance. Dairy Queen Blizzards used to be one of my favorite things, but now they put too much candy in them. Or it's the same amount of candy they have always put and my tastes regarding proportion of candy to soft serve ice cream have refined.

I love ice cream also. You can put cookies, candy, nuts, cones, fudge, carmel or chocolate chips in it. I would not complain. I get those Texas 5 gallons of ice cream usually, because just like my cookie addiction, I have an ice cream addiction. I eat either cookies or ice cream almost every night. Sometimes I eat both!

we had an ice cream social at work yesterday. it was just those giant generic tubs of neopolitan, but they went all out with the toppings, and had some A&W if people wanted floats. And they had some LEGIT waffle cones.
I thought I was going to be meeting an old friend for lunch but we both got busy, and I ended up eating a cone in a bowl and a second bowl with bananas.
