For more basic ice cream flavors I might agree with you, but once you start mixing in things like brownies, nuts, cookies, etc. milkshakes become ineffective
False. For example: my favorite milkshake, the Oreo milk shake, is best made with cookies and cream ice cream of some sort, milk and then a TON of oreos added again. Once you blend that together, crush up more oreos (small enough to fit through straw but not powdered) and lightly stir those in
Yeah but for an ice cream with larger chunks, i.e. cookie dough ice cream, there is no way those chunks will get small enough to fit through a straw. So they all end up resting at the bottom of the shake.

Milkshakes are the superior way to enjoy ice cream. Anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong
I went to a new drive in/ice cream stand for lunch yesterday, and ordered something called the Green Monster milkshake, thinking it would be something crazy with mint, right?. I watched the girl make it.... it was vanilla ice cream, a drop of green food coloring, and a squirt of mint extract, and that was it.
I would have to search my memory to find a time I was more disappointed.
That's a disgrace to milkshakes. I'm sorry for your experience

You've never had a salted caramel pretzel milkshake with chunks of pretzel then. Or, Shake Shack has one flavor they do with pieces of belgian waffle in it that is divine.
Ben & Jerry's Phish Food! So glad I could finally find this at my supermarket.
I just tried this one this week. Totally liked the caramel. The fish were too hard and there were too many. Maybe they should change them to caramel stuffed fish.

Don't blame the ice cream here. It is you that should change.

Either way, it tastes great. I really missed this!
Just got a free scoop of LCD Soundsystem's official American Dream ice cream. 'Twas good, nothing too amazing but hey it's free ice cream on a beautiful afternoon! It was s a peanut butter s'more flavor - pb ice cream with chocoloate chips, marshmallow, and graham cracker bits. Would've made for a great milkshake
If Ben and Jerrys made a game of thrones ice cream what would be the name and what would it consist of?
Winter Is Coming, with chocolate mint chips and cherry vanilla ice cream and cherry drizzle throughout.
basically a tweaked cherry garcia.
Should have white chocolate or marshmallow somewhere in there. Also mint chips should be direwolf-shaped
If they wanted to double down, they could also do A Song of Ice Cream and Fire - vanilla ice cream with flakes of coconut, oatmeal cookie pieces, and a spicy cinnamon whisky swirl (think Fireball)

i'll take a bowl of that ASOICAF please.
damn, why do you have to make me want an ice cream that doesn't exist?

This is epic. There should also be a 50/50 chance that you will die from eating it.

Where do I find this
I believe it was a one-off for the album release day. Not even sure if they had it anywhere outside of two places in NYC. I wouldn't be too bummed about missing it though, it's far from the best ice cream I've had, not even the best I've had this week! It sounds better on paper
