Hell yeah, thanks for mentioning this. I just tuned in as the stream was ending but have it up on rewind now. Sugaree to close S1 and then Scarlet > Fire > Truckin' to open S2 is a great run.
Yeah. We were pretty blasted for that. I missed the 80 show because I was too young and the early 80’s Saenger multi hour shows for no reason at all but being an hour away at college and not having a car. I didn’t go to the sparse Bonnaroo (16?) that they closed although from anyone I ever talked to, the Sunday sets were badass. From our family, my oldest two went so even though I grew up sometimes listening to them and knowing Deadheads and all, they saw them before I did. Gramatik had a show at The Joy that night and ended up changing it from 10 until midnight to be the unofficial Dead & Co afterparty and I managed to survive that too which was also a great show.
FWIW Madeon closing out with the Clash Stand by Me edit was kind of cool. Porter is decent so far but G Jones will probably be the best show or Secret Sky even if it’s only 30 minutes
Oh yeah, I caught it in during the GPJ guest jam at the end of set 1. As a New Orleanian, I’d always say he represents us as well as anyone can.
Ha, that's the same point I rewound to. I'm not familiar with him outside of a quick blurb I read when I was wondering who was on a bass, but he did the song justice.

He’s OG funk. The Meters who oddly enough got accepted by Deadheads way way back, defined funk at the beginning. He’s a super hero to Flea, so he’s always going to come out and play with RHCP here. So he was always able to span the generations because he can play anything and is a funk godfather. Anyway glad you enjoyed that show. It was ❤️
Some of the highs of this Porter set have been pretty good. Overall maybe it’s whatever but the good parts have been really good. Some of the Worlds shit was particularly up there for a modern Porter set.
First half release of this G Jones set has been great. Greg always a cool mfer. He’s releasing the other half hour at something next week but Idk what yet
I got back for most of the second set of Phish’s D&aM tonight and I’m glad I got the tip to watch. Reminds me of how good Sunday night at Bonnaroo was last year.

The Rust Music is on Twitch tonight presenting The Featherbed Selections. Kind of trip chill so far but I’m hoping Jade Cicada goes off later a little more. Detox Unit is up after Resonant Language and Bass2 (visuals by Steve Haman) who is on now.

Tonight's Bob Weir stream is going to feature Aaron Dessner and the Davendorfs from the National and a couple other peeps. Playing GD but also some National songs as well. Should be good. Starts at 8:30 ET.

^^ how was that? Looked to be interesting. Bassnectar is doing a premier of mixtape Sound in Motion in about 10 minutes. The new album will be out mid June but this probably only has some hints of it.
