If LD was inspector (and I doubt it) this game is FUBAR.
It's not totally FUBAR. It won't be easy but it's doable because we know a mafia round one. We can be pretty certain two players are town (zolah and you). I think it's pretty obvious i'm town but others don't agree.
Anyway, we came into round 2 knowing 1 mafia and 3 town. I'm a 4th that leans town unless you think I pulled some huge fake in round 1. In my mind it's down to 2 mafia out of 6 players. That's better than what we know in a lot of round 2s.
We can make two mistakes. We just have to make them count and at least vote off the most suspicious/people that likly would get voted out later.
If the townies don't flip out on each other we have a good shot, I think.

"Vote out the most suspicious" sounds obvious. Let me clarify... In the context of us voting off a townie by mistake. They should at least have something tangible that ties them to mafia. A save, protecting mafia, etc.
I'm not saying "Vote off everyone with a tie to maddog!" If we do that we likly will lose. I'd say at least one mafia hid back and has no strong tie to him or openly distenced themselves in some fasion.
Again, I was talking about the one or two errors, depending on if we make 5 rounds, we can have.
Just now recovering from the "game" last night- if you can even call it a game . My opinion hasn't really changed. I still believe that Potent has the better case than jaz here. I also believe the fact that there has been no inspector reveal only strengthens the case against Potent.
I still don't really understand some people's suspicions of me. I understand that I haven't been as active in day 2 as I should have been and some people have implied I'm "sitting back" but i really have just been busy these past couple days (concert of Friday and OSU game yesterday). It's no excuse but there is a reason my activity isn't where it usually is.
Jaz . Lets say you are town, do you think that Potent is more than likely Mafia at this point, or that he is town also?
Maizy . You are pretty much the most "cleared" player here in my eyes. You currently have a vote on Jaz. When I vote, one of the things I look at is who I am voting with. I don't feel comfortable with at least one player who voted after me. But I also don't feel comfortable voting with at least 2 players on Potent.
However, Jaz is one to get more diplomatic like this when he is a townie. No offense to you Jaz. But Mafia Jaz is more surly when he ends up in a run-off. A few other players are like that too, and it makes it easier to feel confident voting for them.
If I switch now, I am going to be accused of trying to save Jaz. I can already see that coming.
I think that Potent is the one the whack points to the most, and this - coupled with the fact that he was voting for Zolah at the end of D1 - makes him most likely to be Mafia in my eyes. There is a slight difference in wording here: so far I don't consider any one person to be more than likely Mafia (which is what you asked), but I do consider Potent to be the one most likely to be Mafia. You and Carini are also suspects to me based on D1 ending votes. JR and Zolah I think are more than likely town.
And you're right, I do get more surly when I'm Mafia. Thanks for the heads up, I'll try to remember that next time I'm scum.
I understand the whack pointing to me, but how is the fact that I voted Zolah a problem? That vote count was 4-4 at the beginning of that round and LD made the quickie change to make it 5-3. I voted after that to make it 5-4, solely pulling what I feel is a town move by giving a chance to have one of the remaining voters even it up and then the last remaining voter make the decision (in which case, we actually got information on two players, because we knew LD's preference as well). Jaz, you're the king of voting to even things up (and I say that non-judgmentally, I think it's the right move for townies), so it's surprising to see you use that against me.
If you believe Maddog's final comment means he's mafia, that LD vote change that hurried along his fate is pretty obviously the reason that LD was whacked. The fact that LD is sloppy and goes unhinged in throwing out names was just a bonus.
I feel like Jaz was surly toward me at the beginning of this final runoff, really pushing for me to be the lynch. Maybe I'm just sensitive or too close to it, but if you look at the exchanges we had, I felt like that mafia Jaz surliness came out (which is a reason I started feeling more like he was mafia instead of two townies in the runoff). I only remember one other time it came down to Jaz and myself and him pushing against me like that, in Mafia 78. That's anecdotal and a gut feeling from myself so it doesn't really mean anything to anyone else, but I'm just throwing it out there.
I'm not really going to vote for myself. I mean, I'm tempted to do it, but at the end of the day that's voting for someone I know is a townie vs someone I'm not sure about and frankly feel better chance at being mafia.

Glad to see you finally check in. As someone who was recently mafia with you, I watched you sit back all weekend and "watch" while you ducked low. And your post above looks like you copied and pasted what other people already said.

Then vote for me. If you think Jaz is town, the whack points directly at me and it's only going to distract the town (which is why I voted for myself petulantly on Friday).
Also, there's a reason that we don't close rounds on the weekend. People have lives and have things to do. No need for the attitude, honestly.

I tried to think of why you voted for yourself after you did it, and it was hard for me. I understand your reasoning as you explain it, but I still don't like it.
Also, I don't see the attitude from Zolah's post that you're seeing. But I understand how differently things feel when you're in the middle of it (example: me losing my mind over Thor faking after my Inspector reveal a few games ago.)

It really annoys me when people give other people shit for their contributions (or lack thereof) on weekends. If we would've said that the round would close on the weekend, I would have tried to check in earlier, but we didn't. That's why the rules are what they are. I'm glad that many of you had the ability to check in yesterday. I didn't. That's all.

I get it. I really do. I feel like this vote is going to come down to me though, and frankly I don't know WTF to do. It's driving me a little batty. Mafia scum, you better whack me next.
Okay, I feel like Potent has played a bit erratic and he has disappeared... twice. I also don't understand voting for yourself at all. I have also gotten into it with Jaz before twice (make it three times now)... Both those other times Jaz was town (well, once town and once inspector). This vote is very difficult for me, but I'm going based on if there is for sure mafia here, Jaz will put his foot in his mouth while Potent will sit back and say nothing.

Part of why I suspected Danbob was because you and him had a few exchanges... And I found you inspector-ish, while I found him either shady or lazy. I did not want to vote with Danbob... So I opted to vote WITH you. If you are inspector, you better get to talking now... Because if I seen it, they've seen it. And if you're not inspector, you are mafia. Because I still feel like a fake is coming this game.

You've played with me long enough to know that I tend to focus on ending votes, and much less on context. At the end of the day, your vote was on Zolah. And so was mine! Which is why it's right for people to be suspicious of me (and you, and Carini and LLL). But like I said to Zolah, even though it may seem hypocritical to use hold a particular bit of reasoning against people when that same reasoning can be used against me, I know I'm town so the fact that I was on Zolah gives me no trouble. I had my reasons, as did you, regardless of your role. And while I agree that it often makes sense to move towards evening things up, evening things up is also away to place a vote without having to actually show any true colors because the vote holds little impactful weight. I'm pretty sure that's a move I've seen you make before as Mafia, though admittedly I'm not completely certain of that.
As for my surliness, the only thing that strikes me that way is when I said "Hmmmmmmmmmmmm" at the end of one of my posts, after which you called out my tone. I'd like to think everything else I've said this round has been pretty undramatic. Unlike your all-caps sarcasm and your vote for yourself.
But yes, I want you lynched, because I know I'm town. I don't know your role at all. From my vantage point, lynching you instead of me is 100% the track I want the town to take, because if I'm lynched there is a 0% chance they get a Mafia this round. And if you're town, you could say the same thing - so I don't see why me defending myself is somehow suspicious, when you're doing the exact same thing.
Also over the past several games we seem to have deduced that quiet Carini is almost always Mafia, and he's the quietest player of this game so far. I feel like that's worth pointing out, and am surprised no one else has done so yet.

I'be certainly noticed. I was holding back to see if he would start speaking up without being prompted. But on that point, I was about at the pointvwhere I wanted to remind him that he was setting himself up again by being so quite. Which is something i've done in the past when he's been town and mafia.
Another reason is I feel he's lower on the list of LD voters because he just sat on his vote as apposed to sticking up for Maddog or making vote switches, etc. Which proves nothing really, as it would make sense for at least one mafia to sit back in this game.
Basically, i'm holding off on him because it's 50/50 that it would just fuck the town to vote off a quite player early and he end up being just a quite townie that gives us no info.
I like this move from Zolah. I was most likely going to make it if she didn't, but I wanted to see that she would.

Why not wait and see if anyone would save Jaz?
Do you mean save Potent?
Perhaps I should have, but I wanted to leave little doubt in anyone's mind that this was my intention all along, not some showy attempt at jumping on Potent because it made me look better somehow.

You did already mention waiting to see who came at you. Just thought I would point it out since I was there.
I was tempted to just hang back and see who came at me for it but yeah, I did have to say something as I don't like much going to sleep with 3 to vote on pre noon deadlines, if we want a town win we need to help each other out
I've never been so clueless on page 16 of a mafia game. All y'all are mafia...
It's like playing Sudoku. If I know for sure where one number is, another number tends to reveal itself. But there are too many unknowns and too many blank spaces in this game to get a solid lead...
I am, however, still more comfortable buying into Jaz's Kool-aid than Potent's.

Also I had clearly made my case for voting for Potent early in this round. I had nothing of value to add to the discussion on the runoff folks

Not to mention 15 minutes before this post of yours, I already pointed it out that I pointed you out. If that makes sense... Re-read dude. I already replied to Jaz's comment about you before you did.
