got home from houston in the middle of the night and was surprised by packages with a beautiful gold tapestry and guinea pig socks! one of the pigs even looks JUST like my gerby. amazon packages, so i don't know who you are, but thank you so much santa!!!

Both of my gifts have been sent out! I wanted to send out something personally from AUS, but it wasn't going to be there till like mid-January and I didn't want to leave my giftee waiting that long, so they are coming from Amazon with a note from yours truly. <3
So happy I did SS this year. Without having this it wouldn't even feel like Christmas at all. It's like a million degrees and humid here and we're planning beach days and beach parties. This is not what this season is supposed to feel like! But I'll gladly take this over 10 and snowing!

Even moreso than the heat is that it gets dark at like 9pm because its summer here. It's super weird to have like 15 hours of daylight this time of year.

We got a tree and tinsel and a wreath and everything! Y'all just hatin' on our Xmas BBQs and pool parties. I say it's not Christmas unless there's fresh mango and kiwi sitting atop a crispy pavlova. Burgers roasting on an open fire BBQ, sunburn nipping at your nose...
Christmas in July is a thing here, if you really miss not sweating baubles in a fluffy Santa hat. I'm good tho.

Omg. custeph! You’re awesome! I LOVE the frame so much and already know exactly where it’s going to go! And all the sweets, particularly the Milano cookies, gave me such a moment of homesickness (but this time in a good way, it that makes sense). And the homemade card and trademark Steph bonnaroo craft on top of that (which is currently on your little tree!) just really warmed my heart. Jack and I are super appreciative. I have to go fight him off my cookies now.....

I never posted, but I am pretty sure I got the best gifts out of all of y'all. Mainly because my Shel Silverstein hardback, fuzzy socks, and magnet were hand delivered with several hugs and a pretty great meal. Thanks Jaz . You the best. <3
