yes. 1000x yes. so glad there's someone else on here watching rn. i really didn't think it could keep getting better after the second half of season 3, but god damn if this final season hasn't felt like it's only raised the bar in terms of storytelling.
just really praying theres a Final Season Part 2, because the few manga readers i've talked to have said there's still way too much to happen for the show to end in 4 episodes.
I watched the first season of Attack on Titan like 5 years ago. Enjoyed the first 9 or 10 episodes and then lost interest when it started getting political. To me it had such a brilliantly simple horror/action premise, but then got bogged down in self seriousness. But... everyone I know watches it, so I'll probably pick it back up down the road once it's finished.

3 things-
Jujutsu Kaisen S1 finale is this week and Im not ready. The show is literally perfect Shonen and the pacing of it is so good. In the first season we've already had like 5 major conflicts which is just so nutty
Also in the spirit of march madness Ive been watching Slam Dunk and I haven't binged a show like this since HxH. It is so fucking good and just makes me realize how great the sports anime genre is especially with how much I loved Haikyuu
And I think My Hero Academia comes back this week too!

double AOT episode dropped yesterday. both so fucking good. insane we only have 1 episode left until what's probably gonna be a year long break before the actually ending.
Was considering Jujutusu Kaisen after I finish Re: Zero, but I'm a bit tired of watching unfinished shonens. Shonens in general kind of wear me out. I've tried many times to do One Piece, made it to like episode 250 or something and just gave up.
And yeah Re: Zero is awesome but these 2nd half of season 2 episodes, while good, are still pretty slow and all over the place with the pacing.
Also considering Konosuba or that Reincarnated As A Slime show.

You definitely should watch Jujutsu Kaisen
About halfway through it now! Also doing Dr. Stone and rewatching AoT to try and see if I can like it with more seasons finished. I think there was only one season out when I watched it the first time.
Demon Slayer movie was pretty good. Love my boar-headed Inosuke always. And that final fight scene was awesome. Thought the first hour kinda dragged though. This probably could have worked as a two or three episode OVA, but I appreciate all the attention this series has gotten because of this film.
About halfway through season 3 of Attack on Titan. I enjoy this show a little more now if just because of its fun (if somewhat ridiculous) mystery-box plot, but still nothing compares to the simple existentially terrifying first six episodes of season 1.

just wait till you finish the second half of S3. that's the peak of all anime for me.
Yeah 2nd half of season 3 was pretty awesome, Erwin's suicide charge was about as intense as this show gets, and the emotional payoff of the basement episode was great.
Loved season 4 as well, well the first 8 episodes at least. Loved seeing the Marleyen perspective, and the Liberia raid was really good stuff. Don't know how I feel about Eren going full Daenerys though. Seems a lot of the internet had thoughts about that.
Still the first half of season 1 is my favorite. Love the show as a whole more when it's regular titans eating people, rather than special titans fighting special titans. The Trost episodes are so dope.
Anyone else stoked for this Blade Runner: Black Lotus series coming in November? Shinchiro Watanabe is producing.
I've never been huge on anime (don't flame me!) other than a few of the Studio Ghibli gems, but I am a nut for anything Blade Runner related and will absolutely be watching this. I don't have cable so I really hope it gets a simultaneous release on one of my eleventeen streaming platforms.

Itll definitely be streamed on crunchyroll.
Welp. Guess who's signing up for a free trial, binging the whole damn thing, and immediately cancelling?
Speaking of binging... since Binge uses a still from Blade Runner on its login screen, they better have it.
from an in universe perspective, they had that entire episode debating who to choose, and Eren pretty clearly laid out that it was mostly Armins strategy and plans that secured them the victory to retake wall maria. he had become just as skilled of a tactician as Erwin if not stronger.
from a storytelling perspective, Armins story was always about seeing whats outside the walls / beyond the sea. Erwins story always ended with the basement. either way would be tragic, but Erwins death made so much more narrative sense for where they were in the story, just on the cusp of his major goal.
Demon Slayer starts back up on October 10 with the Mugen Train arc being revised in a 7 episode format, with update visuals and music, followed then by the entertainment district arc.

I watched Neon Genesis Evangelion for the first time a month ago. Probably my first anime since Yu Yu Hakusho was getting daily airings on Toonami and fuuuuuck me was that good. Ended up watching End of Evangelion and all four of the rebuilds immediately after (First two were meh, third was good, fourth was great). I'm so tempted to rewatch the entire main series again but... it can wait a few months.
Not sure if I'll watch any other animes any time soon but some of the recs in this thread are tempting.
