I am pretty sure they are more than a ONE hit wonder. Aren't they on their second album? My girl Jackie loves them hard.
two more and they can vie for the next Franz Ferdinand!

Your hatred of Franz is second only to my friend Nick's. He works at Sirius as a programmer, he USED to be on the air if one of the regulars needed their Alt Nation or XMU shift covered. He would do it on the condition that no Franz would play during his set. It is all preprogrammed, it isn't like the old days when they actually had to change the songs manually. But he hates them so much that he doesn't even want people thinking that he is playing their music. But I guess if it was me, Vampire Weekend would fall under the same rule.

I dont hate! To rehash, I just think it's weird to dismiss bands like the Killers, MGMT, whoever else was brought up in that as 00s era one hit wonders, and then not do the same for Franz.

I don't think any of those are one hit wonders.
EDIT: Also, can we move this conversation into the headliner thread? I need material.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Me and Nick would get along. My hate for Franz stems from the one time I got in a bar fight with the lead singer for telling him he ripped off Gang of Four.
If someone saying something as commonplace as "boogie" or "get down" makes you cringe, then I think the issue is more with you than with them.
Dancing at shows....how cringey
Nah everybody dances at shows, where I take issue is how every time an act is mentioned on Reddit somebody says something along the lines of “Holy shit! Hope you beautiful people are ready to boogie” like they’re some trying-too-hard Livenation plant trying to build hype.
Or maybe I’m just old and cranky. That’s more likely.

I’m seeing Jungle next week. I’ll let y’all know if the new stuff is any good. (I’m sure it will be. I’m super excited!)
They were fucking amazing. The new stuff is all really good. I wasn’t a big fan of the first new song they played, but the rest were fantastic and translate really well live. Super dancey and have great singalong value. I obviously didn’t know the words but I wanted to sing along with them. Lol. Do we know when the new album is coming out? They didn’t say and I haven’t heard one yet.
