I don't think I would ever buy a second hand festival wristband to something this expensive. It's super easy for the original buyer to call FGT and say that their wristband was stolen and get a new one. I'm sure there are precautions to stop this, but it's just a lot of trust that I don't have in some internet stranger, especially when an entire vacation relies on the odds that they aren't a douche.

I feel the same way, especially because it takes more than half a day of driving to get there.

For something like this though if you have a problem getting in Stubhub will find you a replacement ticket. That’s technically what you’re paying for with all that fee money.

but I wouldn’t find out until I got to Manchester, TN.

Right, but for a festival like Bonnaroo they have a stash of wristbands at a will call site somewhere so if your wristband doesn’t scan you can just go pick up a new one.

Realistically though, I’d have to wait in line to get in, find out it’s been used, leave the site, call up StubHub (who took an hour on the phone one time to release tickets I took off sale a day before a concert), and sort something pretty complicated out and then drive in and wait even longer. It’s hours of hassle that I don’t want to deal with at the start of a vacation. I’d rather just pay $75 or something.

I just think the odds of there being a problem are pretty small. If you’re the seller and the wristband you sent doesn’t scan, Stubhub can bill your credit card for a full cost of replacement. There’s no incentive to try to scam.
I’ve had legitimate wristbands not scan at festivals too, it’s annoying but it doesn’t ruin your weekend.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

I thought they shuffled people out last year. Maybe I’m wrong
That’s incredibly screwed if they did that. I didn’t stay at centeroo past like 4 last year, but in past years was out till sunrise and nobody was shuffled out. Kalliope will (or should at least) still be going all night.
Bonnaroo '15/'16/'17/'18/'19 - ACL '13/'14/'15/'17/'18 - Fun Fun Fun '14 - SXSW '13/'14/'15 - FPSF '16
2019 Shows: 4/30 - Vampire Weekend 6/28 - Father John Misty & Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit 9/6 - Cardi B w/ Teyana Taylor 9/28 - Vulfpeck w/ The Fearless Flyers
I’m mostly just annoyed that the two main sets I’d want to check out (Justin Jay, Clozee) are 100% gonna conflict with higher priority acts. Will probably end up stumbling in late one night.

So centeroo will be open until 4? Maybe the stages will have music until then also
The Silent Disco and Christmas Barn were scheduled until 4am last year (Christmas Barn might have been even longer). I'm 99% sure people weren't kicked out of centeroo either because that's where my friend who we completely lost for two days slept. There's also no point in kicking people out of centeroo.
SO the email actually also included a bit of an announcement for the Christmas barn. Will have all the normal night time stuff (including the robe rage) as well as *COMEDY SHOWS* in the afternoon. So it seems they’ve at least found a good location to house smaller acts so that there isn’t insane sound bleed.
