I thought the Killers last album was actually pretty great. The lead single was fantastic
Ha I thought the album was just ok. However, when I saw them and they performed "The Man" me and my buddy looked at each other and said he actually is the man.
Say what you want about the Killers but they put on a hell of a show and Flowers is a great performer. Yes, they are not going to break any ground and they've headlined everything already but at least you'll be entertained.

If you enjoy the Killers music, then I suppose their show is great. On the other hand, The Killers are the most boring and uninteresting headliner(and honestly show) I’ve ever sat through. They aren’t some undeniable live talent. This “say what you will about blank, but their live performance” stuff is getting way out of hand. Like everybody’s putting on performances like Prince now.
I live less than a half mile from the Roxy so this is killing me that the 1975 tix are going on-sale at the box office the morning I have to drive down to the OC to see a family member
Would have just grabbed a coffee and lined up at 8 AM and read outside the venue lol

Thought about driving up myself but per the 1975 Reddit it sounds like 8am may have been too late. People were lining up overnight.

They gave out 100 wristbands first come first serve, and they were all gone by about 1 or 2AM.

combined with the noise around Kanye making a surprise appearance, is it worth entertaining the idea of Tame Impala getting a Jack White 2015 / Black Keys 2012 headlining second to last slot and then Kid Cudi closing Main against Aphex Twin?

If anyone has the energy to go out after the fest on Friday WK1, Club Rhonda is hosting an after-party. Nina Kraviz and Virgil Abloh are playing, SOPHIE was listed at first but has since been mysteriously removed.
How many people show up to Aphex Twin if he conflicts directly with Tame Impala? Less than 2,500? It's crazy to me that this seems likely.
That low? Aphex seems to be very anticipated, I don't think there would be that few people.
I might be projecting, but I feel like there are lots of people that would like to see him for the rarity of the show but aren't skipping a Tame Impala headlining set for it.
Maybe I'm underestimating how many people will come mostly for Aphex, they did book a lot of undercard acts that I think would appeal to that audience (Jon Hopkins, Four Tet, SOPHIE, Yves Tumor, Gessa, etc).
