Just asked my professor if I can take the exam at another day of her choosing. We have had multiple conversations about my passion for the music industry and she herself is a creative type. Feeling optimistic. I love this festival
Use that charm!
I appreciate that you may be able to pull this off honestly. I lied and told my professor I was in my brothers wedding in able to go to Coachella 2013. It worked, no regrets, I took the Final the Monday after

Didn't even have to lie. I just said how important it was to me that I saw Kanye at my favorite festival in the world

It’s really sad to see people get this excited about a set from a washed up Trump supporter who somehow gets a pass for all of his disgraceful behavior over the last few years.

It’s really sad to see people get this upset over a still relevant Trump supporter who gets appropriate and expected reactions for his dumb antics over the last few years.

You know you don't have to go see him right? You know not everyone associates his music with his personal opinions?
Its not like the guy is a murderer/rapist. Hes just off the rails at times
I don’t want to get into it but headlines aren’t everything and he got Trump to side with him and Kim over his own administration + Sessions. He’s still one of the most accomplished, talented, and influential artists ever and it would be cool to see a really unique show consisting of a good variety of his discography. I get that people like to hate on big celebs, musicians, athletes etc whatever, but i think its a little over blown when people label this guy as a seriously horrible person, psychopath, etc.
I want to just fast forward this week. Next weekend there's the Weekend 1 stream (for us weekend 2 people) plus the schedule, map, etc. Also Thrones on Sunday. I'm ready.
I’m currently at “carefully studying all the options on the food list knowing full well that I won’t give a shit once I enter the gates and just grab whatever’s closest and sounds good at the moment” levels of excited.

It's patently ridiculous to compare him to Michael Jackson or R Kelly, but there is certainly danger in his normalization of trump/MAGA and his public disavowal of mental health treatment. It's funny to me to see him win back good will simply by staying out of the news for a few months (I notice my own impression of him change simply from seeing him stay silent), but realistically it'd be nice to see him reckon with and apologize for some of what he's said over the last couple of years. I think there are a lot of people who root for Kanye even when he's at his low points, myself included, because he's clearly struggling and his highs have been so high, and a Sunday Services "show" plays into that desire a bit (theoretically uplifting and positive rather than "from now on i'm performing with the motherfucking hat on."
All that said, everyone needs to slow their roll a little til we actually have some detail on what this is.

Ha same. Unless this mobile app "order ahead" feature actually works, in which case I'll be a little more thoughtful about what I eat than my current plan, which is to pick whatever's fastest.

I've never been to Coachella before, but now I've officially entered the period where an upcoming festival is interfering with my ability to get work done. I usually enter this phase the week of or the day before a fest.

I've always found it interesting when people blame "Hollywood" for "covering up" the dirt in the industry, when really it's been out there all along but people just don't want to believe it. How you are talking about MJ is how people were talking about R. Kelly just six months ago, even though Kellz has been a known predator forever. Innocent until proven guilty and all that jazz, but I cannot believe people are still out here defending MJ. Everybody hears these whispers and just ignores it until the proof becomes too strong, and then acts like it's all news to them.

In general when celebrities are charged with a crime and they get off, its via a trial dismissal after essentially paying off the accuser to not show up in court. It’s what happened when R Kelly got accused in 2002, the accuser recanted and no showed and R Kelly got off.
Go take a look at the witness list who testified against Michael Jackson in 2005, the no-shows weren’t there. He went up against the accusers and beat them in court, no OJ level prosecution failure either.
The dude is now dead and can’t defend himself except for the time where he did defend himself in court and won.
