FRI King Princess > Mon Laferte > Kacey > Tierra Whack > Anderson .Paak from the beer garden > The 1975 > Janelle > Childish
Kacey was great, Tierra Whack was spectacular, Janelle was epic. Moved up to the pit for Janelle after 1975 and I'm so glad I did, not taking anything away from Childish but she kinda felt more like the headliner than he did. And speaking of headliners, The 1975 are on the verge in my opinion - they have a great show and I think they get there next year if their next album keeps the momentum going. "Love It If We Made It," "I Like America," and "The Sound" are so good live
SAT Wallows > serpent > Mr Eazi > The Interruptors > Soulection > SiR > Maggie > Aphex > Billie > Tame > Cudi
Mr Eazi was a lot of fun but I can't help but think he would've been even better in a tent - happy he got a main stage spot, though. Which also makes me hope more African, reggae, and dancehall artists continue to get booked at fests in the future. Their sound influences so much of what comes out today, with almost nothing to show for it at American fests. One of my favorite moments of the weekend was when Maggie choked on dust during "Retrograde," her voice gave out, and the crowd picked her up for a bar or two without missing a beat. When Kanye came out for Cudi, I forgot every one of his stupid incidents from the past two years
SUN Sunday Service > *died* > Bad Bunny > Blood Orange > YG > Gesa > Khalid > H.E.R. > Ari
Sunday Service delivered on all the hype and then some, for me. Hearing all those songs reworked with a choir was amazing, and the fact Kanye was featured very little didn't take away from it at all. I do wish they got into the program a little sooner. Went back to my rental in La Quinta to nap and just died. Really tried to will myself out of bed to catch Rico Nasty and Push, but I just couldn't do it. The YG show was as amazing as the livestream made it seem, Rocky was icing on the cake. Gesa sounded amazing for the 20 mins I stuck around. Khalid was perfectly mediocre, but the John Mayer guest spot was a nice surprise - he's someone I'm surprised doesn't do more fests. I enjoy her studio albums but man, live, H.E.R. is such a talent. Ari put on a fine show, but I couldn't help but feel she was only giving about 85%
Coachella's always a good time but as most have noted, this year did feel a little more fun than usual. Gonna give it one more go next year to make five years then hang em up (subject to change)
First Coachella and I hope it's not my last. The hype is legit- best fest I've been to by a decent margin. From the production, to the seemless shuttles, the beer tent situation (which is way overblown by people who haven't been to the fest), to the ease of security getting in. Everything went smooth and was top-notch. Most of my group of friends are settling down and hitting the baby stage so I don't see another destination fest happening soon, but if it does, we will be back in the desert 100%.
Top 10
1) Tame Impala 2) Rufus Du Sol 3) Childish Gambino 4) Anderson .Paak 5) Bob Moses 6) Billie Eilish 7) Charlotte Gainesbourg 8) Weezer 9) Gessafelstein 10) CHVRCHES

I was wondering what you’d think. Glad you enjoyed.
this weekend was pretty much perfect and coachella was everything i hoped it would be. i enjoyed every set i planned on seeing and had some nice surprises (mostly due to wandering into the sonora to get out of the sun). the shuttle was great and we didn't have any issues or lines. i don't think i ever waited more than two minutes for the bathroom, water or food. the secret bars were fun, though the combination of the heat and a disco cocktail made me sick during let's eat grandma. spending the weekend with wufinancial, shuck and stlallison made everything extra special. some highlights: lizzo - she deserves everything great. watching her is such a treat and getting to be part of the most inclusive and fun dance party is a bonus. being present for shuck seeing kacey musgraves. parcels. aphex twin, gesaffelstein and four tet - shows i was unsure about on record but LOVED live. janelle monae always. anderson paak - my first time finally seeing him. my husband has a longstanding crush on brandy and i never even considered her being a guest, so that was fun. wandered into jambinai, hyukoh and the garden knowing nothing about them and had a great time. saw all three headliners and enjoyed them. justin bieber lip sync was silly. also saw blackpink, khruangbin, charlotte gainsbourg, king princess, mac demarco, the messthetics, shame, pusha t and unknown mortal orchestra. i don't know when it'll be possible to go again, but i'm tempted to start saving for next year.
We dropped in for the last couple songs W1. Was pretty hammered at the time so don't recall a whole lot except they were fun/not bad. And they were playing a tune I recognized from playlists!
Solid set. Nothing to write home about, though. Absolutely zero production factor. Like the lights just stayed one solid color the whole time and nothing else happened.
I saw half of them. I liked them but they definitely got swallowed up in an undercard year where so many bands really nailed it. Crowd was respectably sized and seemed to be digging it.

1. Parcels 2. Charlotte Gainsbourg 3. The Frights 4. Four Tet 5. Gessa 6. JPEGMAFIA 7. Tame Impala 8. shame 9. The Garden 10. HYUKOH
To be honest, anything after Parcels & Charlotte is in no particular order. The sets were all too good other than the 2 songs I caught of serpentwithfeet. New Sonora set up and placement was fucking awesome. New Yuma set up was great even if the lineup was lacking. Only issue we had all week was the shuttle starting so damn late. Other than that, I thought this would be my last year going for a bit. The company we had with us and the flawless performances we saw will have me purchasing presale though. Got to blow the jackpot I won last night on something good.
Never posted before, but wanted to add that after six years of attending, this was my favorite. Nearly every act was stellar, crowds were easy to navigate, and almost all the layout changes were improvements.
Top acts were...
1. Tame 2. Childish 3. Parcels 4. Charlotte 5. H.E.R 6. Anderson 7. Gesaffelstein 8. King Princess 9. Kacey Musgraves 10. Hyukoh
Loved the beer garden by the outdoor stage, and met Anderson Paak while eating there on Sunday night. And while the event itself lost the crowd by minute 30 of organ music, Sunday Service was really well organized. Would love to see someone else do a morning show in that area.
And, in general, crowds felt more evenly distributed. Never had a problem getting a good spot, even for the headliners, but also didn't have any acts that felt depressingly unattended (except for U.S. Girls, who were probably just a victim of an overcrowded time slot).
After feeling like the lineup was solid, but missing one or two great acts, I was pleasantly surprised by just how great everything was.

It's a damn shame U.S. Girls didn't draw. I feel a little silly saying this after a bucket list Aphex set, and Janelle and Gesaffelstein killing it on big stages, but U.S. Girls was the best thing I saw all weekend.

Really wanted to see them, but that day was just so packed. Missed US Girls, dvsn, Khru all in the same day =(
I was happy I went out of my way to see U.S. Girls; definitely worth skipping most of Polo & Pan and Rufus for me. Friday was a brutal day for conflicts
Never really knew who Perfume were but Fusion maybe my new song to get weird to.
Me and my two friends turned to eachother and all at the like same time said "This track is more Gesaffelstein than actual Gessafelstein" that track is absolutely filthy live.
Just got back from weekend 2.. After 2016 I wasn't sure if I was ever going to go again. The magic of the fest seemingly disappeared for me. I didn't think the lineup was that great this year but was offered a free place to stay so figured I'd just do it one more time and call it a quits. This ended up being probably my second favourite Coachella ever behind 2013. I don't think I saw a single bad set and the crowd was amazing through out the whole festival.
My Top 5 of each day in order of best set.
Friday - Charlotte Gainsbourg, Anderson Paak. Khruangbin, Calypso Rose, Polo & Pan Sat - Aphex Twin, Four Tet, Tame Impala, Parcels, Mac DeMarco Sun - Jon Hopkins, Blood Orange, UMO, Gesaffelstein, Pusha T
The only time I noticed a shitty crowd was when I walked from Blood Orange to the lockers.. everyone from the Sahara was going to the main stage for Zedd. The way they have the festival laid out now is pretty perfect though.

Hopefully I can meet more people next year at meetups! Really enjoy meeting people from reddit and here as some of my best friends I’ve met from r/Coachella over the years ( first time meeting Inforoo users this year). I had my new partner with me this year and an ex that I don’t get along with was at most meetups. Was having too much fun to risk the vibes haha.

Really wish I saw Khruangbin as the days pass, but I’m 100% seeing them when they come by me next. I’ll never pay to see a solo Diplo show and had fun at that set so I’m not tooooo upset. More bummed that so many of my friends went to that set and said nothing about it before hand when I was super high on them going into the fest -_-

I'm not one to judge someone on a festival choice, and I'm certainly not judging you here (you can have a blast at any festival set, especially with a good group of friends). But what compelled you to go to Diplo if a bunch of your friends went to Khruangbin?

I went to Diplo with my little brother, his wife, my gf, and one of our other friends. Everyone else we’re doing their own things and never mentioned they were goin. Another part of our group actually wandered in during the hip-hop medley having no idea who they were. We had a group of about 25 people this year so it was kinda hard to keep track of everyone.

I see most sets alone so I'll never know this burden. Also, you were right behind us at Four Tet apparently and disappeared when shuck told us. SO in my opinion you fucked up hard twice. Jk, jp. Would have enjoyed meeting more of you folks.

Is stayed for the entirety of 4T! Lol
You and KP official moved from your circle right before the set started I guess!
