There is nothing redeemable about Nicki Minaj she is a flat out terrible artist. I find it weird that people in here are tryna argue somewhat in her favor. Lets just all agree on that fact that shes terrible and wont even play.

Madonna had a good run too.
While I cut my teeth on rock music, and have a deep respect for artists that write their own songs, I'm glad that as a culture we are clawing our way out of the rock-born idea that a performer must write all of their own music in order for that music to be considered artistically valid. As if a performer can't perform a song with real emotion, and thereby inspire emotion in listeners, unless they wrote the words and melodies themselves.
I think this false idea of "realness" peaked at some point in the 90s, while it should've started dying the minute "Tonight's The Night" was released, since we'll never have a record "realer" than that one.
Again, I understand the value of vertical integration in song writing and performing, I just don't think it should be a litmus test as to whether a song is any good or not.
It's not naive to compare AG to Gaga or Bey. Premature, maybe, but not naive. She's well on her way to reaching that tier of stardom, especially now with Sweetener under her belt. With her voice she's gonna have pop on lock for the next 10, 15 years and the way Coachella has been leaning in recent years it's probably only a matter of when, and she won't be doing it as a sub
Just gonna dispute this. Outside of MJ and Beyoncé is there a single pop artist who's had the genre "on lock" for that length of time?
Maybe not solely in her case but I think in terms of who's next in line for stardom at or near the level of a Bey or Gaga in her Fame Monster-Born This Way days, the spot is hers to lose

Typically, we do guess three headliners and 22 undercard acts. Headliners are worth 3, undercard 1. Acts that have already leaked are ineligible. Since most people will guess JT and Gambino as two of the headliners, it takes a little bit of fun out of it.
I’m thinking this- you can guess JT and Gambino if you like, and if they are on the lineup you get 3 points. However, if you guess any other headliners they are worth 5. So if the headliners are Kanye - JT - Chance the Rapper (Gambino is unexpectedly absent from the poster) and you guessed those three, you get 13 points.

I like this. Penalty for going off semi-confirmations. Same should apply to others that are close to confirmed before the pool starts.

I think this was discussed on the Coachella board but what about getting double points for unique acts? For example, if you guessed Jeff Mills and NOBODY else guessed him, you’d get 2 points instead of 1. Otherwise, if at least one other person guessed him, only 1 point.

I feel that this would discourage people from guessing a lot of acts, and I think seeing everyone's lists is the most fun part of a game like this.

Stipe busy with more famous friends (Courtney, Thom, etc.) who, like him, seem as or more interested in the art world than music these days, though he's finally dipped a toe into solo work recently.

I can't imagine, after the pettiness of complaining about Travis Scott being number one over her on a ridiculous chart that no one understands, that Nicki would sub for anyone.
