It’s definitely noticeable when compared to ACL and OSL for me.
I think being in actual cities is a big difference. Even if it is a big difference I would gladly take more drunks to be able to drink a beer while watching shows in the 100 degree Coachella weather.

Nah, it makes a HUGE difference at Coachella. I've only been twice, so YMMV, but the crowds at Coachella are some of the most tolerable I've experienced. I attribute that partly to the beer gardens, but I'm sure some folks are gonna argue about the #VIBEZ.
My favorite part of the Beer Garden is it indirectly keeps the festival much cleaner than any other I've attended. The main trash you'll see at the end of the night are water bottles, which you can pick-up and recycle yourself for free shit.
Now excuse me while I go to the bank and cash the nice check Goldenvoice just sent me...

With the exception of Sahara tent IMO.
Haha true, I only saw REZZ at Sahara this year and the crowd was fine. We tried to meet up with some people while Snakehips played and that crowd was massive, but the music killed me more than the crowd.

Yuma for life.
I only went in 2015 before and I wasn't into bleep-bloop that much, so I didn't go to Yuma at all then. Shame on me.

I agree that the crowd is noticeably less drunk at Coachella than other fests. That’s probably a lot of factors (age of crowd, non-city fest) but beer gardens count for a lot. I’d rather there be no beer gardens, but I don’t mind them either given the reductions in idiots.

Anyone who thinks beer gardens aren't a good thing is either A. Under 26 B. Riding Rail for Post Malone C. Part of the problem or D. All of the above. JK, JP but any other fest I've been too that's 30,000 plus people is a goddamn disaster of drunks and trash, and this never has been. I'm pro-beer gardens. Also, "reunited" Misfits have only really done one-offs, but Coachella would be wise to book them now that they are playing next April. They were unbelievably tight and amazing at Riot Fest in the way punk bands from that time weren't and never will be.

Anyone ever actually get drunk from beer? I've never been to the gardens (went before I was 21), but it always looked like it would take long to get in and theres already so much stuff to do

You literally walk in, and there’s more than beer to be had.
