The tiki bar is just a slightly hidden bar that serves nice drinks. I’d recommend checking it out. It was something different to me and I didn’t have much goin on at the time.

I'm a big fan of the craft beer area too, it's definitely gotten a bit too congested being so close to the DoLab but it's great to have a nice beer in the shade. I definitely want to check out this secret Yuma Bar...
These rumors seem weirder than normal. Aphex Twin, Thom Yorke, Carl Cox, Groove Armada...
Agreed, but that being said 2018 had a lot of "weird" acts that just didn't seem that weird because they had been rumored for like the previous few Coachellas so a lot of the weirdness rubbed off - Jean Michel-Jarre, Soulwax, Chic, etc. felt like they were rumored like each of the last few years before hitting and 2019 kind of felt like a pallet cleanser.
None of these acts seem weird to me. They have been all over this decade, but not at coach. Something for the oldies. Groove Armada would be awesome. They don’t all have to be radio pop/rap.
Edit: throw in Orbital on top of all that and JT/Gambino/Flo doesn’t seem so bad.

Also, Groove Armada seems like an extremely *not* weird booking for Coachella.
Maybe “weird” isn’t the right word to use but all those bookings feel more like what they used to book more of before Coachella went heavier into pop. Just seems like they’ve been going in the opposite direction as of late. If you were to tell me those acts were playing a festival next year, I wouldn’t have guessed Coachella.

Not that I’m complaining or anything.
Maybe the “they’re going in opposite direction” talking point is vastly overstated.
"Aphex Twin, Thom Yorke, and Groove Armada" leaking / bring rumored is essentially if last year was "Jamiroquai, David Byrne, and Soulwax" were the main rumors.
It's not shocking they're billing some of those acts, but a little more surprising we haven't started putting in place some big pop names yet (outside of HLs). Bracing myself for an LDR tour with no LA date ending in Arizona on April 9th any day now.
