I dont know how people are so sure of this. Fleetwood Mac is seen as a dream booking for a number of people in this thread and their 2019 tour is doing pretty badly

Coachella opening up a fourth headline slot to double down on all male headliners is one thing, but to do so for Mumford & Sons is so tremendously confounding and hilarious at the same time.
This whole “they have to have a female headliner thing” is pretty overblown. It’s not an affront to the gender if they can’t book a worthwhile female act to headline.
On the other hand, I’m sure we can all agree that Mumford & Sons are an affront to all men.

Bottlerock a possibility and pretty on brand for them too though, no? Could be announced on that lineup, sell tickets and then they can announce west coast dates. Just trying to find a way out of it.

Other than his views on gender politics, climate change, and “PC culture” generally, I guess he’s a pretty straight shooter.
He says and thinks a ton of dumb shit but he's not pushing or campaigning for right wing politicians. It's pretty much what would happen if you gave your friends dad a microphone and a platform and we all started caring about everything they said.
If my friend's dad went on for half an hour about how women should be banned from wearing makeup and high heels in the workplace because it's an unfair sexual provocation for their male co-workers I'd kick his dad in the balls and find a new friend.

Tyler's fest just had it's best sales ever with KSG as a headliner.
They invited him to the studio to hang and talk about all his interesting work before taking that photo. They didn’t bump into him on the street or whatever.

There’s no reason to think Mumford would be in place of Kanye as opposed to Gambino or JT. Probably less likely even. It’s not like theyvleaked Kanye’s name, saw the backlash, then reached out to Mumford who planned a radius clause compliant world tour in the space of 4 days.
