I’ve been to Chicago. I know Lolla has kinda fallen off recently or become more annoying to attend, but I sit just not worth it at all anymore?
It’s one of the youngest crowds I’ve experienced and possibly one of the worst (though the Flylo crowd was solid the year I went and I got to see him do a DJ set at an after show). There was a young crowd camping for The Weeknd and it really ruined Hot Chip for me, unfortunately. I forgot that I actually left Paul McCartney early that year because he was boring and opted for all of Flylo instead. That was the right choice. The scheduling makes up for a bland lineup if nothing else and I thought the venue was really cool. I wouldn’t ever do a full weekend, but I would consider doing a day again just as an excuse to visit. It’s basically one of the last festivals I would ever pick as far as the idea of just immersing myself in a full weekend of music.

I went this year, it really is as young of a crowd as they say, which is good and bad. This year it was very easy to get a great spot for all of the Rock headliners, and the views from that festival of the Chicago skyline are really great. As long as they book enough Rock to be able to counter program the Post Malone’s, I think it’s worthwhile
I guess I'll be the one person to come forward as a The 1975 fan. Matty's a great song writer, they're sonically interesting, they write great pop-rock hooks, and they walk the line between being obnoxious and endearing.
A lot of my favorite music writers (Ian Cohen, Steven Hyden) are pretty big fans and they're definitely getting a lot more respect at Pitchfork, etc. But understand they clearly aren't for everyone. I'll be there then a tent for the headliner most likely.

The 1975 has not sat well with me after high school. I like a handful of songs and they put on a good enough show sometimes though. Would be happy with seeing them if there is nobody more interesting playing or if it means getting a good spot for the HL but I’m not praying for them at the festival. Especially with how absolutely terrible some of the singles off this new album are
