I honestly don't even think the prices are that outrageous for the experience and value the lineup usually provides.
Considering three single days at Lolla would cost you the same, I tend to agree. It’s more expensive than the other fests, but you don’t feel like that extra money is being wasted at all. If you’re stuck paying $75 for a shuttle pass you don’t want though that kinda sucks.

Yeah the price isn't that bad, specially compared to other smaller California festivals. I've also been able to get W2 below face the two times I went.
It's in Desert Hot SPrings so kinda far from the fest, BUT you can take Dillon Rd and bypass ALL the traffic and it dumps you right into Indio. I just booked a room for myself.
I've never been to Coachella but always wanted to. I just booked that in hopes this is the year. Thanks!

Can’t do presale till I get next semester’s exam schedule which I don’t get until November. So hopefully I can get wk 1 tix in the main sale if I can go

That makes sense, but it doesn't seem to work as well as intended. Apparently one of the days of WK2 this year was insanity.
The lineup has been amazing for my tastes the past 2 years, I won't blame you.

Starting law school in August. But I'll be at iii Points in February! I'm gonna do my best to do iii Points and hopefully one summer fest each year for the next 3 years while I'm in school if I can, though even that may not be possible.

So is the smarter move for W2 to just get the presale pass and wait on the shuttle?
I'd do that, if you don't know if you need the shuttle (or if you want to try to save a little bit of $). People will sell shuttle passes for a song closer to the fest, since many are forced to buy them with their ticket and don't need them.

I don't see the point of doing W2 presale. It's not hard to get W2 tickets during the real sale after the lineup is out, and I don't think it's any cheaper.
