Anyways, optimistic mock: Bruce Springsteen / Rihanna / Chance The Rapper
I would love if we got Bruce. One of the few rock acts I could see playing out well with the general public and festival goers alike. Also I didn’t know that about Cee-lo That’s extremely disappointing

Bruce Springsteen does make sense. They’d have to give him a longer than normal set time but that would be fine. His fanbase havs the resources and the motivation to go see him at Coachella, so it would eliminate some of the “but does he appeal to the kids??” arguments.
As a Springsteen fanatic, I don't see it happening. As far as next year goes, he's finally going to take a break after the Broadway show this fall, and he claims he has a solo record ready to release after he's ready to get back into it. So can't imagine he does full band festival gigs next year supporting a solo album; maybe he does a solo tour similar to his Broadway show with songs from the new album mixed in. And more broadly, he'd be the perfect #2 on a Desert Trip II poster supporting a #1 of a Zeppelin reunion, so imagine GV would think about keeping him in play for that (e.g. there's more acts to headline Coachella than good headline DT2).
That said, I will gladly eat all kinds of crow and sign myself up for a Bothchella if it happens.
I think plenty of artists will "stop touring" but still do a few festivals if the $$$ is right. Coachella could definitely pull him in.
My point is, he's only headlining Coachella (or any major festival for that matter) if he's doing a full E Street Band tour. His only major festival appearances in recent memory were Bonnaroo and Glastonbury 2009 in the middle of the WoaD tour and Rock in Rio 2013 in the middle of the Wrecking Ball tour.
And next spring is probably early for the next E Street tour given it seems like he is going to do a solo album next, so I would assume solo tour if anything next year. He's worth nine figures, I don't think money is much of a mover for him, if he wants to do it, he'll do it when it fits in his schedule.

Gotcha. I guess it would be weird spot to be placed unless he did the exclusive full band at Coachella and announced a solo tour later in the year. Could be too many moving parts.
Sources super deep in the shit have confirmed Justin Timberlake and Childish Gambino for next year? This will likely be the most important gig of Donald Glover's career. Good for him.
I'm sure the lineup will still deliver else where, but I do hope we get one headliner I can get excited about. I don't care for Gambino outside of the movies and I'm not going to waste a night on Justin when there will likely be something better going on.

Are you asking a question or are you telling us Gambino is confirmed?

I wonder if there's any chance they'd book Liam Gallagher for next year. His 2nd album will be done by December he said. He's taking a little break but I think he'd do a one off for Coachella. His recent sets overseas have been ridiculous.

Not bad. I'm hoping aphex twin is on the same time as JT though.
Lmao. I gave it to Tim Hecker’s black out set. That shit was wild
Fun fact: the light/video guy at the soundboard was browsing Facebook during this set.
Yeah, I remember you having said that. I mean he didn't really have shit to do otherwise, but if he knew what the fuck he was doing, he would have been paying attention to Tim.

I’m into the new stuff, but HBHBHB was her best imho. She’s a bland festival grab kinda like The Weeknd, so idk. I’d like her but I guess what I mean is that if we see her then we shouldn’t be shocked.
