I am surprised by the love for Gambino on Reddit. Felt like his set took awhile to get going, and then every time it did he’d take weirdly long breaks to talk/smoke/etc. The cinematography was stunning, but when that’s the best thing I have to say about a set, not great. We left halfway through and it appeared most of the festival did the same.
Damn I thought his set was as close to perfect as you could get.

The Heineken House / stage is at the festival right? Am I understanding correctly that they randomly added 3 nonstop hours of De La Soul and The Roots? That would be a dream for me but I havent really seen it mentioned much.

Yea it's in the back by the Arctic Dome and nobody went wild because they're on Saturday and everyone already had a pretty stacked night. Disappointing The Roots aren't on a proper stage though.

oh I’m just kidding. Just remember everyone here saying the only way CL could play the Yuma was if the tent was expanded. Was the Yuma production ramped up at all? From one of my friends Snapchat’s it looked p similar inside to last year.

you’d have to basically give up on seeing everyone else that day to make it in.

The Heineken house isn’t an actual indoor thing anymore is it? Has it been that way for awhile? Seemed like it might not actually be as hard to get in but I’m not sure.

It’s still pretty tiny, the inside area is elevated, so even though there’s a lot of grass around you can’t see in unless you’re in the space.

The new Heineken House is very open (it’s not fully enclosed anymore, with a large field at the back). It can definitely fit a much larger crowd than years past

The Yuma bar is not actually in the tent (it’s directly connected but it’s own space) so you can’t drink and watch music, but it’s super convenient if you’re in there. You can drink in the back of the Sonora tho
Kind of a random question but did Charlotte do her cover of “Runaway”? I don’t think they showed the whole set on the stream and I’d be surprised if she didn’t play it here.

Well it is expanded. Plus he was up against Rufus. Yuma production is only ramped up a bit but not too much change.
What kind of set did Nina do? Missed the live stream.
It started out like a one woman show. She was dressed like SS essentially and she sat in a big leather chair and read from a tiny book or two. Might have been the bible, but idk. It was really weird.

Only saw it on stream but it was bad. She can’t sing. She can’t dance. She’s a great DJ but this completely didn’t work.
