Yep, it was a great set. A couple decorations that made viewing from afar a little difficult but they brought a ton of energy and had a decent crowd!
awesome. They had a crowd though?
Yeah, more people than I had expected!
Yesterday I did Shame > Turnover > Bob Moses > Maggie Rogers > Superorganism > Weezer > Aphex Twin > Parcels > Tame Impala and it was incredible. Wish I could have seen Christine, that was my biggest regret. Shame and Parcels were the two best sets of the day imo, Maggie Rogers was incredible and the first 40 minutes of Aphex were also pretty remarkable.

Parcels was great placement. Walked out of aphex moderately exhausted after 45 mins and into parcels, it was like a Sunday stroll...and excellent
Can someone add some context to where Hush Hush is located. I can figure out the Tiki Bar.
The entrance is between Delmy’s and slo-cone place in Indio Central Market. It was a tiny bar with disco music and good drinks. I can say it was the strongest drink I had over the weekend.

Would love to see a list of top 5 sets for each day. I also would appreciate people calling out which sets were clusterfucks this year. It sounds like this was one of the better Coachella’s from the last few years.

Had a fantastic weekend, months and months of speculation and research has payed off! Here are my Top 5 sets of each day.
FRIDAY: the 1975, the Frights, Janelle Monae, King Princess, SG Lewis SATURDAY: Parcels, Shame, Tame Impala, Turnover, Maggie Rogers (and also Aphex Twin. Would love to have seen Christine, but the Maggie Rogers overlap was unfortunate) SUNDAY: H.E.R, SOFI TUKKER, Ariana Grande, boy pablo, Mansionair
I didn't catch as many full sets yesterday as other days, but I was really impressed with SOFI TUKKER (they destroyed the Mojave, tons of fun even if you're not super into their music). Also H.E.R was absolutely incredible but she started about 25 minutes late and right before Ariana, so her crowd was dwindling. And yeah, caught about 20 minutes of Perfume yesterday and that was unlike anything I've seen before--I definitely recommend it.
Overall I was impressed with the layout this year, this was one of the first years I've had in a while where I avoid the main stage and the outdoor and spend most of my time in the Gobi, Mojave and Sonora, and having those three right next to each other made it really easy to catch multiple sets. This was really the first year I spent so heavily in the Sonora and I really, really recommend it, so much space, cold air and having a bar there was awesome. Maybe it was just the sets I picked, but I really didn't have a lot of trouble with crowds this year--even the 1975 was easy to get a good spot in the crowd for. The whole weekend felt a little light crowd-wise tbh.

I am pretty stoked for this weekend. I love weekend 2 because it definitley alleviated some conflicts for me and also made me more enthused about checking some stuff out I had not early.
Interpol & The Walkmen 11.23 I Am Morbid/Suffocation 11.26 King Diamond 11.29 Sadistic Intent/Massacre 11.30 70K Tons Of Metal 2025 Hell's Heroes 2025 Sick New World 2025 Maryland Deathfest 2025
Would love to see a list of top 5 sets for each day. I also would appreciate people calling out which sets were clusterfucks this year. It sounds like this was one of the better Coachella’s from the last few years.
My personal ranking of favorites:
1. Christine & The Queens 2. Lizzo 3. Polo & Pann 4. Gesaffelstein 5. Janelle Monae (would be higher if I hadn't seen her so many times - if you saw her in the last year, especially at a festival, it's largely the same show. A great show! But would've liked her to mix it up a bit). 6. Tame Impala 7. Charlotte Gainsbourg
Lots of stuff tied after that. Also honorable mention to Perfume, which I only caught about 10 minutes of since Gesaffelstein started late, but they were outstanding.
This was my 4th Coachella (16, 17, 18, 19) and it's been by FAR the best year to me. The all around quality of performances, I didn't see one lackluster set, other than Billie and H.E.R. there weren't any tech difficulties/late starts, crowds were amazing, people were packing out tents for most artists, breath of fresh air from 2018s anemic crowds.
Tier 1 Acts (Phenomenal/Can't Miss) Turnstile: The Perfect Sonora act, energy was insane, the pits were wild, band owned the stage Kacey Musgraves: Beautiful voice, amazing charisma, just top quality music here Anderson .Paak: Maybe my overall favorite of the weekend. AP and Free Nationals just hit so much harder live. The 1975: Great music with a dedicated fan base that gives out so much energy. Janelle Monae: She just owned it, every aspect of performance was hit on the nail. Yung Bae: So much fun here! Groovy party, get up front for this one. Best DoLab set for sure. Maggie Rodgers: What a performer! Her fans showed her so much love. This was probably the best crowd of 2019. Billie Eilish: Crazy how good her and her brother are at their ages. Billie knows how to rock the stage at 17. Tame Impala* (got there halfway): Their sound is just so.. clean, crisp, mastered Unknown Mortal Orchestra: Another amazing dance party Blood Orange (only saw 20 minutes): Wish I could have seen the whole set but BO far exceeded my high expectations YG: Only 2nd to Maggie Rodgers, this crowd was nuts, ratchet party in the Sahara, don't miss it. Perfume: So fun! Everyone was so happy here, even people far outside the tent were jumping around and dancing hard. H.E.R. (Half): Wish she started on time so I could see more of her set. What is there to say other than she's amazing. Ariana Grande: REALLY fun, but this is coming from a big Ariana fan. Her voice is amazing, no denying that.
This was the best year I’ve had since 2014. There’s not a single set I didn’t enjoy, and the crowds were all fairly good. The only time all weekend that it felt overly crowded was while walking past Cudi (pro tip: go to Bassnectar instead).
The new layout was perfect - no real bottlenecks or annoying beer gardens to walk around anymore. The new DoLab was a lot more open and enjoyable, as well.
My only big gripe is that Gauva Island was only running from 6:30pm to 2am. Who puts a theater in the campground and then keeps it closed during the time that people are actually at camp?
Overall this was an outstanding Coachella. Everything was really well organized the people in every crowd I went to were really nice and it was a good mix of all ages and music fans.
Aphex twin was the greatest show I’ve seen a Coachella or at any festival. Everything about it was impeccable from the way he played some ambient music and samples during his set up to the giant Crazy ending. I was completely blown away and I’m still thinking about it.
