Yes, my wife is a teacher and doesn’t get time off before June, so this is the only major camping festival that works for our schedule. Plus every festival is essentially the same this year.
Tickets ordered and we are heading back again. Gonna do a few days early and bum around Nashville. Take the kid to the zoo now that they have more than 25% of it not under construction Do a distillery run or two. Hit Chattanooga and get my pop to drag up from the ATL. We will make it a a to-do that has Roo in it.

Going for my 16th time. I've gotten a presale ticket for Christmas since they've started doing the Black Friday presale. Would not go if I had to buy a ticket however and keep saying (at least since the 2016 lineup came out) that I am soon going to say "you should stop getting me a Bonnaroo ticket because it is not good anymore" but I still have a fantastic weekend even in the last couple shitty lineup years. I've been going with 1-5 of the same people for over 10 years. If they stop going, it stops being a lot of fun in spite of the bad lineups, or I have to pay for a ticket I'm out.

As of right now, no. If the schedule comes out and its really light on conflicts I may try to make it happen, but I don't see that happening. What I loved about Bonnaroo were the unique sets. Shows I couldn't see anywhere else. That seems to be gone now, unfortunately.

my wife and i bought presale this fall bc every time i skip, no matter what i think of the lineup (and this year i don't think much at all of it), i'm sad when it's roo time and i'm not there. so we'll be there*
*unless i decide to sell the tickets between now and then, in which case we won't be there

Yes, skipped last year and had a farm sized hole in my life for a year. Girlfriend also doesn't want to miss it again, her sister passed in 2014 and we bought a Root for Roo tree, and its been a tradition to go visit it too.
Lineup is pretty great for me too, Anderson .Paak, Alt-J, and Jungle are 3 of my top 5 favs, Eminem is a bucketlist and what got me into hip hop, and the unknowns are playing really well into my tastes. I've let go of the old lineups and accepted that its changed but will still be a good time.
No, the lineup isn't worth the effort to get there (Florida, many days off Wednesday-Tuesday) as well as the comfort of camping. I know I'd have fun especially since it's the best lineup i the last 3 years (2016 and 2017), but my time is worth more. and I'd figured i'd travel to a city i haven't been to and explore that instead of driving 20+ hours

Can’t go this year regardless of lineup, but this is at least a year I could have been talked into. Last year was a hard pass. I’d still pick a couple other fests over this, all things being equal, but Bon Iver and Anderson Paak would be strong draws for me, and there’s enough other stuff sprinkled in there that the schedule probably won’t be too disasterous.

Personally I think this is one of the better lineups of the festival season
I was expecting to be disappointed and not go, but there's plenty to like on the lineup, even if there isn't a huge amount I love. Def worth the money and drive from Wisconsin for me

I'm in a similar place. Big Ears, Shaky Knees and Muddy Roots all have more that got me excited on initial review. It'd be hard to swing four festivals this year. I do feel worse about missing out on this year versus last year.
It's not worth the drive for me at this point. I also have other obligations. I likely will only hit up Melt! and Day for Night this year. I'm sad to be missing Muse if I'm being honest though.
Gonna head back for year 7, looks like this might be the last year as my group has wilted from 8 to 4 due to kids, marriage, etc. Really wish there was a multi-genre camping fest somewhere in the Northeast (Wayhome coming back to life in 2019 would be ideal).
Nope, the last time I went without liking the lineup I didn't have a real good time
You honestly had a bad time at a festival? Were you with friends or solo? I went to Wayhome last year, which had a shit lineup and still had a blast with my friends, and that's at a festival that literally had nothing to offer besides music. I can understand not seeing the value in terms of the cost but it really takes a lot to have a bad time at a festival.

I was with a different group than I used to go with with different tastes than me, so if I wanted to see a band I liked, I was solo, while they were watching mister wives or whatever they were into. So there was that. So it was me wandering around alone most of the time in the heat and humidity, and I just wasnt into it. Plus I bought bogus fungus, and that pissed me off. We actually got bogus stuff twice, which made me resort to drinking more, which made the mornings harder. About mid Saturday I was ready to go home
No. Now that I no longer live in Tennessee (or in Iowa or Minnesota, for that matter) I want to try and experience some of these fest they have out west. Maybe Bumbershoot. Maybe Sasquatch. Maybe Air & Style. That said, I'll almost certainly go back to Pitchfork. I can't really stop myself from going to that fest.
Oh and the lineup is almost excessively not up my alley
Yes going, my girlfriend and I bought presale and even though the lineup isn’t as exciting as I thought it would be, after searching through artists there’s enough that we will still have a blast. This will be my 6th and this will be her 3rd. I’m extremely excited to see Muse finally and I’ve always wanted them to play Roo as seeing they’ve played about every other major music festival out there. My girlfriend is happy to see Eminem because it was her fathers favorite artist, she doesn’t expect him to be amazing and she’s not into rap at all besides knowing a good bit of his song and that’s it. Her father just died on the 4th of January and we just got back from ATL to see her grandmother. We both rather see a bunch of other artists than Em, but we are happy to check him off our bucket list and at least if at any fest, it will be at Roo. Between this and Shaky I think we will get our fix of all our music tastes, just praying the schedules and weather are good.

Yes. My girls love bonnaroo. I love the camping aspect, I enjoy enough of the shows that the experience overall is worth the trip. It's more than just the lineup to me. We have a group at this point of about 10. It really is a bit of magic (don't hurt me)

I’m going. It’ll be my 6th year overall since 2011. I have a group of close friends that goes every year so it’s hard to pass up the good times. The lineup is certainly not something I’d pay this much/travel this far for without the nostalgia/obligation, but there’s a few highlights like two sets of Bon Iver.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

How dare you suggest that Bonnaroo is about more than just the lineup!
