I took the lady to Rock City last year. She was surprisingly sold on the idea that its main attraction was that it didn't make sense.
Seeing seven states? It's the definition of a tourist trap. You drive all the way up the mountain and feel like "It really doesn't look all that impressive but I guess we'll go in while we're up here."

And the random gnomes everywhere. She actually enjoyed the gardens except for we ended up there on a really busy day, so we felt kind of crushed.
Random fact: I was touched inappropriately by a gnome at Rock City. Not that trip. A different one.

Did she happen to notice the street names? We put in some cabinets up there a couple months ago on the corner of Wood Nymph Trail and Peter Pan Rd. I do like the cave with all the gnomes. It looks like they haven't updated the displays since the 50s.

The one at the end was nightmare fuel for her. She hated it.

Fun fact, in 2015 we did Ruby Falls and 2016 Rock City. thejeremy was ALL about Ruby Falls and did NOT want to do Rock City. He is converted. The seven states and gnomes won him over.
