Opening comedian starts at 8. They started playing "Daddy's Home" - last pre-show music song before Annie took the stage - at about 9:05, I think.

The comedian started closer to 8:15. A lot of sex jokes but I still enjoyed her too.

Happy to hear everyone enjoyed St. Vincent. I've always respected her and I enjoy her records but, honestly, I have trouble connecting with her music. It's well constructed but just leaves me feeling a bit cold. That being said, the show sounded like a real spectacle, I just HATE seeing shows at Radio City due to the sterile feel of the space.

That's actually how I felt the first time I saw her (2014 at Celebrate Brooklyn) but this time around was fabulous. I think she needs to have somewhat conceptual and highly structured shows for her to make sense.

Ugh, so on the fence with this one - I want to see them again, but not in a stadium. I am still hoping they are the NYE band for Barclays (and I do think there will be a NYE show this year), and that's why Barclays hasn't said anything yet, but that's really just my wishful thinking, lol.

You should've camped outside the Apollo the other week when they played haha. I doubt they'll do a NYE show at Barclays but maybe they'll do the Alt 92.3 Christmas show?

Something about the Apollo doesn't want me there. Whenever there's a show there I want to see, either I am away or I just can't get in. Even U2 I couldn't get in there, and I asked Bono personally and everything, lol.
Coldplay did play the first Barclays NYE show, so I am kinda hoping for a repeat.

Genesis added a 4th and final area show at Barclays. After passing on the first three I bit on this one, I mean this is clearly their last tour and it's only a 10 minute walk from home on a Saturday, so I grabbed a ticket via the AMEX Presale on now.

What does everyone's fall/winter/next summer look like now that it appears, fingers crossed, we're still moving ahead with shows this winter? If money constraints and other obligations weren't an issue, I'd probably be doing the below:

Mine’s all in my signature, but…
10/30 - Mannequin Pussy at Bowery Ballroom 11/15 - Sylvan Esso at Terminal 5 11/23, 12/1, and 12/3 - LCD Soundsystem at Brooklyn Steel 12/4 - New Pornographers at Webster Hall
My daughter is due on 12/20, so that’ll be it for me for a while, and I’m crossing my fingers we don’t get an early arrival that’ll keep me from those last few shows. After that, the first part of next year is pretty open, since I’m guessing I’ll be adjusting to parenthood, although my wife and I bought tickets to Tool’s February date in Newark in the hope that two months out will be enough for us to drop the baby off at her parents’ nearby and get a show in. Jury’s still out on whether that’ll work out or not.
Beyond that, things are nebulous right now given I have no idea what kind of bandwidth I’ll have for live music as a new father. My wife did say that if I like Bonnaroo’s lineup and things are going ok with the kid come June, she’d be ok with me going as a make-up for the crusher that was the 2021 installment getting canceled 15 hours before I was supposed to get on a plane to Nashville, so we’ll see how that works out.

I know sigs don't show in Tapatalk, so here is the list right now:
November 26 - Inhaler @ Mercury Lounge December 9 - LCD Soundsystem @ Brooklyn Steel December 11 - Genesis @ Barclays Center December 30 - American Utopia @ St. James Theatre March 11, 2022 - Inhaler @ Warsaw June 4,2022 - Coldplay @ MetLife Stadium August 9, 2022 - Rage Against the Machine @ Madison Square Garden October 1, 2022 - The Killers @ Madison Square Garden TBD 2022 - The Joy Formidable (postponed from Dec 14 @ Bowery Ballroom)

Have tickets for:
11/22 - Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, GZA @ Terminal 5 11/29, 12/19 - LCD Soundsystem @ Brooklyn Steel 12/7 - All Them Witches @ Warsaw 3/4 - Shame @ Webster Hall
On the list and probably will go but haven't bought tickets for whatever reason:
11/12 - Silver Synthetic @ Union Pool 12/4 - Show Me The Body @ Warsaw 12/17 - Czarface @ Warsaw 2/26 - Tool @ Prudential Center 3/14 - Tyler the Creator @ MSG 3/20 - Carl Cox @ one of those house venues 6/25 - Ty Segall @ Brooklyn Steel
Also, any number from 1-5 of the Rage shows at MSG but they announced the tour before I moved here so idk yet, another LCD show or two, and David Byrne's Broadway show.
Definitely a lighter winter than what was a really busy late summer/fall for me, but the past few months easily make up for that.
10/29 The Budos Band @ Brooklyn Made 10/30 The Nude Party @ Music Hall of Williamsburg 11/1 Todd Barry @ The Bell House 11/7 David Cross @ The Bell House 11/13 The Fiery Furnaces @ Brooklyn Steel 12/6 Amyl and The Sniffers @ Music Hall of Williamsburg 12/31 Dr. Dog @ Union Transfer (Philly) 1/22 Fucked Up @ Brooklyn Made 2/5 Courtney Barnett @ Radio City Music Hall 2/11 Remi Wolf @ Webster Hall 2/18 The Avalanches @ Terminal 5 3/12 Oliver Tree @ The Hulu Theater June Bonnaroo hopefully 8/12 Rage Against The Machine/RTJ @ MSG
And I wanna go to Lettuce 11/6 @ Brooklyn Steel but my cousin just backed out. Might go solo, not sure yet.

I don't have much intel as I'm not a parent but I do now that your general mood/feeling will have a lot to do with how your newborn sleeps. So if you both are able to get 5-6 hours a night and feel comfortable for a sitter, going to see Tool on a Saturday is doable. That being said, if you're up all night with a newborn (which is totally normal obviously), may not be in the mood to rally hauling over to Newark but obviously up to you. I think my brother didn't go to any shows for like...6-8 months after his first kid was born.
On a lighter note, I assume the Prudential Center in Newark is still easier to get to than that new arena in LI even from Brooklyn? Doesn't seem to be any public transportation directly to the venue in LI.
- Strokes with IDLES and Hinds at Barclays, NYE 2021
- Bon Iver at Forest Hills, June 3, 2022
Yeah just saw the Strokes announcement and was coming to post, lol. I was waiting for Barclays to drop an announcement, especially since NYE is my birthday and it's a big one this year. Still, do I want to see The Strokes yet again? Probably will bite though, just because.

Anyone been to Thompson's Point in Portland, ME, or just Portland, ME in general? Thinking about catching the 6/10 Bon Iver show up there and making a weekend of it
