Brooklyn Paramount: come for SUM41, stay for actually good bands.
Hey now! I'm potentially attending both of those shows and looking forward to both. St. Vincent is the same week as Weezer and The National/War On Drugs so not sure my old man ass can be out at 3 shows that week. Big gap between the previous date, anyone think she adds a 3rd night?

Same week as Pulp as well. And sandwiched between Peter Hook plays New Order/Joy Division (Sep. 6), ELO (Sep. 16), and PJ Harvey (Sep. 15 and 16).

Not to mention Pearl Jam (9/4 and 9/5), Stars (9/19 and 9/20), and Khruangbin (9/20 and 9/21).
I was just talking to my wife about that. I don’t think so. But maybe since MSG is super convenient for Long Island and NJ it will sell ok. Or not, what do I know? (Livia Soprano’s voice)

I dunno - back at their height, I remember really liking Turn Blue, but their live show was a let down, Dan is not a great front man. Haven't gone to a show of theirs since then. Although, they were great live many years before when I saw them open for Radiohead, so I don't know how that changed.

I saw them at Jones Beach a few years ago. I got a free VIP tix so that was rad! They were fun but should definitely play smaller venues. 15 to 20 thousand capacity is too big for them at this point.
