Anyone been to BK Paramount yet? If so, how is it?
Went last night for Liam Gallagher & John Squire. It’s a really beautiful venue. Kinda reminds me of an updated Hammerstein Ballroom, minus the second balcony. The GA floor is on a decline, which is great because you have good sight lines even in the back. Also love that there are 4 bars: 2 in the back and 2 in front sides. So never gonna have long lines or trouble navigating back to your spot

Anybody ever go to "Zero Presents: Masquarade"? Heard good things about Zero partys on tiktok and was thinking of hitting it up while in NYC for the first time

I dunno anything about this. But if you’re in town that weekend Wine Lips are playing Bowery Ballroom Fri the 26th and Sat Gogol Bordello, Madball and Murphy’s Law are playing a free show with a bunch of other bands in Tompkins Square Park.
Charli XCX/Troye Sivan @ MSG 9/23 . Nice to have some shows in September. Real dead zone this year so far.
Really? I got St. Vincent at BK Paramount, Weezer/Flaming Lips/Dinosaur Jr. at MSG, ELO at MSG, and Built To Spill at Webster Hall in September so far. Then a few shows in October.

Yeah, I already have Cage The Elephant, Weezer, The National/The War On Drugs, Twenty One Pilots, Kings Of Leon and Keane that month. Imagine the club/theater shows will be popping up soon so that month will be stacked.
EDIT: Should specify, I was being sarcastic about September being a dead zone.

I believe that was sarcasm on phil507's part. At this point, it's more surprising when a NYC show that's *not* taking place in September is announced.
Anyone going tomorrow to the Indieplaza event? Trying to catch tomorrow Cloud Nothings and Dehd sets, hopefully there’s still room for those planning on coming late.
All except PJ Harvey, and doing the 10th for St Vincent. But it's possible I could be doing Pearl Jam in Philly on the 9th, so I could be running the gauntlet there!
11/28 Raveonettes (Copenhagen, Denmark) 12/4 Interpol 12/14 LCD Soundsystem 12/31 Billy Joel 1/25 The Killers (Las Vegas) 2/12 Jack White 2/25 Father John Misty 3/6 Inhaler 4/10 Franz Ferdinand 4/17 Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds 5/15 Amyl & the Sniffers 5/18 Fontaines D.C. 9/1 Oasis

Yeah, that's me: Pearl Jam 9/4, Pearl Jam 9/7, St. Vincent 9/11, Lucius/TWOD/The National 9/13, Pulp 9/14 (again, if I can find a ticket), then Stars 9/19 and Khruangbin 9/20.
I'm trying not to think about what the babysitting budget for September will be, but YOLO.

I'm a bit peeved at Pearl Jam for buying into the whole TM pricing BS (and they totally have), so I may not go at all, but I keep going back and forth on that.

Pearl Jam is a MLB/NFL stadium band that still insists on playing 2 nights at an arena which probably has 30-40% of seats (at best) available to the general public.

They'd be fine if they'd just follow Radiohead's lead from 2018 and play four shows in five nights at the Garden.
Then again, the fact we're even getting two nights this time around is an improvement - on the scuppered Gigaton tour, they had only one NYC date while playing southern California something like six times. I love this band more than anything, but that was a buncha BS.

Yeah, I don't quite know what them and their management are thinking. I understand the band probably feels an arena is as big as they want to play and I've heard they personally love MSG but it leaves a lot of people in the area out.
