What is SURE to be big news for the types that post on this board, Machine Gun Kelly will be playing Central Park Summerstage on 9/13 with JXDC and KennyHoopla. On the other side of the spectrum, anyone who was looking forward to seeing Matchbox Twenty this summer at Jones Beach or PNC will need to wait until 2022.
I'm weird and was hoping to go to both Matchbox 20 AND MGK.
Think I'll snag an MGK ticket on the presale Wednesday if prices are decent. I'm desperate for some live music.
I'd love to be wrong, but I get the feeling there won't be any Jones Beach/MSG/Barclays/Metlife shows this year.
I'm mildly interested in that show (MGK) just to see the ruckus that the crowd will be but after listening to his album again I'll probably skip. Songs are fun but the dude canNOT sing.
Is there a full prospect park bandshell schedule?!
Not yet, I keep checking.
Ahhh, been so nice getting back into the swing of things with ticket sales, picked up Japanese Breakfast and Black Pumas tix on presale the past week, both for Brooklyn Steel.
4/5 San Fermin 5/1 Belle & Sebastian 5/17 Echo & the Bunnymen 6/7 Hozier 6/8 Governors Ball 6/20 Future Islands 7/25 Billy Joel 8/5 Green Day/Smashing Pumpkins, etc. 8/21 The Gaslight Anthem 9/7 Bikini Kill 9/13 The National, TWOD, Lucius 9/14 PULP 9/27 IDLES/The Walkmen 10/4 Bleachers 10/6 Vampire Weekend 10/9 Sting

I am balking so hard at the idea of going to an indoor show. Like, my head knows I'm pretty statistically safe at one (thanks, Pfizer!), but I can't really internalize it, emotionally.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?
UPCOMING SHOWS 4/4 - Young Fathers @ Brooklyn Steel 5/14 - Neil Young & Crazy Horse @ Forest Hills Stadium 8/17 - King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard @ Forest Hills Stadium 9/4 - Pearl Jam @ MSG 9/7 - Pearl Jam @ Wells Fargo Center 9/13 - The War on Drugs/The National @ Forest Hills Stadium

I hear ya but we all gotta take the plunge at some point. Tentatively my plan to break the dry spell is Japanese Breakfast @ White Eagle Music Hall in Jersey City.

I warned my girlfriend there’s a good chance I will openly cry upon entering any venue for a show this year

For those who have requested refunds on postponed shows, how long did it take to receive your money back? Its been over a month since I requested my RATM refund, and almost a month for MCR. Got nothing. Worries me that my e-tickets are still in my ticketmaster account

I think it's like 30-60 days from what I recall but most of mine came pretty quickly.

Holiday weekend maybe discourages them for trying to add a 3rd night on Mon as opposed to a matinee. This actually brings up an interesting point. As I'm getting older, I think it'd be cool if more acts did matinee shows on weekends. I guess it might be brutal for performers but might be more enticing for those of us inching closer to 40's and get grumpy taking subways home at 11:30 at night.

One of the reasons I got out of the club scene before the pandemic was due to the late late shows. I’d love earlier shows in general.

Well, I just bought my first indoor concert tickets: Sylvan Esso at Terminal 5. Caribou might be next, although I might also have to find something that happens earlier than that Sylvan Esso show so my first indoor gig back isn't at Terminal f'ing 5.

There's a huge cap in their tour dates which makes me wonder if they might also add Brooklyn shows if those T5 dates go quickly.

It’s been 6 days over a month and I just received confirmation that my refund has gone through. But the email stated it’ll show up in my account in 7-10 business days.

Dashboard Confessional unplugged tour coming to Bowery 9/24, Space at Westbury 9/25, Starland Ballroom 9/26. Bowery seems like significantly smaller than hose other venues, strange choice.
Also, for whatever it's worth, The Space at Westbury is a nice, under-used venue. It's a big of a hike from the city but more accessible than the Paramount out on LI.

Tried getting tickets for the Dashboard show at Bowery during the fan club presale. Sold out in an instant : (
Fingers crossed for the general on sale! Tickets looked to be $45 before fees. Not terrible, but why on earth would he do 1 show only at the tiny Bowery? Could've done Irving, Webster or Best Buy and still sold out within a day.
