The only beefheart I can handle is Safe As Milk and some of Lick My Decals
as much as I think I like weird or out there music, I've never been able to enjoy Beefheart or Zappa. i appreciate them, but don't enjoy them.
Agreed. Zappa a little more accessible (IMO) than Beefheart and I enjoy him more but rarely listen to either. Except "Sure 'Nuff 'n Yes I Do" on Safe as Milk...I dig that one

For me, the thing about Zappa is that, except for Joe’s Garage, and to a lesser extent Over-Nite Sensation, I’ve never spent a ton of time listening to Frank’s albums, but if Dweezil comes near me, I will go see him every single time because it’s always a great show.
