And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Conflicts are nightmarish, as I expect everyone's schedules will be. I did want unopposed headliners, because I love that feeling of everyone at the festival sharing in one experience, but that of course makes conflicts even worse.
The festival runs from 7PM-9AM the next day, although I expect many artists to play past 9AM. Headliners start at 2AM every night and have two hour sets.
I tried to keep the What stage very "mainstage" type techno, although things might get weirder as dawn approaches. After each headliner on What I put the biggest name techno DJ I had, so Carl Cox/Adam Beyer/Chris Liebing.
Some artists are placed haphazardly although I do have some thematic stages. Friday This stage is noise/ambient/weirdness all day, I think it'd be a very cool day to spend all day there with Aphex Twin as the meat of the sandwich.
No real thematic stages on Saturday, although I think the run of Sleeparchive > Phase > Noncompliant would be extraordinary and exhausting.
Sunday I wanted a nice path for the electrosynth/pop fans, so on That you have Dead Can Dance to ease you in, then Human League > Yaz > Erasure, then you can hop over to What for Depeche Mode. Liebing follows Depeche Mode because he's a huge fan and has done remixes for them.
Finally Sunday Other is the "No Way Back" stage curated by Interdimensional Transmissions, featuring artists who have played the long-running Detroit party.
3post1jack1 I thought your festival was a not for me. Then I looked at your schedule. Damn I want to go now.
edit-I don't know who most of them are, but shit what fun finding out.
Orbital > Underworld > The Chemical Brothers........... My God.
Yeah I forgot to bring attention that that run, I thought it'd be fun to have all the 90s "electronica" (i'm so glad that term went away) artists back to back. Future Sound of London before Orbital as well, a little weirder than the others but in that same school.
Re: the Justice/Erasure conflict, it's tricky because I want Erasure to pre-HL close the synthpop tent, and I want Justice on the main stage because I feel like they are a mainstage act. I guess this isn't real life and I could switch Justice and Nicole Moudaber and nobody from Justice would reach out to me about placement.
Even if people don't recognize a lot of names on the P.O.S.T. lineup, I feel like if people show up you can't help but have a good time. While many of the artists are quite specifically super dark techno, or industrial, or noise, and might not appeal to all, I challenge anyone who enjoys dancing and fun to attend sets by The Belleville Three (and the solo sets from Saunderson, May, and Atkins), Dixon, The Black Madonna, Helena Hauff, Moodymann, Eris Drew, Silent Servant, KiNK, Stacey Pullen, Juju & Jordash, The Outside Agency, Carlos Souffront, and Scott Zacharias and not have a total blast.
since I forgot to schedule DJ Ulcé I'll just point out there is no such thing as DJ Ulcé and I just drafted him to see if anyone would call me out on it.
the pictures are the result of googling "live DJ" and "man face in shadows".

At one point I had an alternate lineup going that was all bands from tv shows. Could never figure out how to sneak it in.

Legit lol over here, that's great. Would love to have caught Zack Attack at your fest.

Your whole lineup could have been made up and I wouldn't know.
Not done yet. My poster artist has been dealing with an injury and a heavy work load.
